Okl gives up the best player in Pau but gets many former All Star vets who hungry in the pursuit of their first Championship Ring an are still productive.
All Jefferson is an all star in his own right but is 6 years younger and fits in better with the core of Durant,Ibaka,Evans.

MIA accepts. We lose some youth in giving up big Al, but get Pau Gasol. He's a bit older, but easily still a top 5 big man. He had a drought during the playoffs recently, but this summer he helped spain win the FIBA championship, so he's definitely back playing at a high level. Pau can stretch the floor to 15-18 fters and rebound and play great help defense alongside emeka, so we like that. Also, he's one of the best passing bigs in the game, and no team has won a championship without an elite big. great dealing okc!

Houston / Denver Swap Stars

The Denver Nugget's have moved newly acquired All Star PF Carlos Boozer to the Houston Rockets for Andre Iguodala. In addition, Denver will get Boris Diaw and rookie Kris Joseph in exchange for SG Jason Terry and SF Nicolas Batum. Houston has $ 13,500,000, $7,500,000 & $4,600,000 = $25.6M incoming salararies. Denver has $13,531,000+$7,500,000 and $380,000 of new payroll totalling $ 21.421 (x 1.25 = 26.788M).

Houston wanted to upgrade their PF position, but hated to lose Iggy's versatility. However, the Rockets kept demanding and Denver refused to say no. With Nic Batum and Jason Terry being added to the mix the deal became too good. Ultimately, the Rockets had to say yes with 3 outstanding talents taking the place of their All Star SG. This deal makes the Rockets a better team and will pay dividends for a long time.

Confirmed. We didn't want to give up Iggy in the first place, his elite defense and slashing ability will help our team immensely. The playmaking ability of Gordon/Iggy will allow Mo Williams to play off ball and serve primarily as a spot up shooter, similar to his role in the LBJ/CLE offense.

Confirmed. It's hard to let go of Kobe, but he was aging and I felt that it would be a good idea to get what I could before he retires. It would have been nice to have him retire a Laker but I like what I got in return

We feel the trade of Evans for Monta was even and we get the financial flexibility for free agents next year as well.

Trade#140

Wolves-Clippers Swap

Wolves Out:

Courtney Lee (S&T) $4,600,000
Chase Budinger $974,150

Total: $5,574,150

Clippers Out:

Landry Fields $6,000,000

Trade works. Wolves are not done making moves and will look to get another SF. Fields is still a kid and has shown promise in his young career. We look forward to having Landry Fields be apart of our young core moving forward. Great trade LAC.

CHA accepts. We were looking for a scorer, off the bench, at the 3, and that's what we got. He has great size, and I feel he is ready to have a break out year. We also only have to give up one of our 3 2013 1sts, so that's good as well.

Accept. Already have George as my future SF, and could always use the picks for the future.

Trade 141

In a preemptive move the NY Knicks trade Andrea Bargnani and Luis Scola to the Houston Rockets for DeAndre Jordon, Andrei Kirilenko and Martell Webster.

New York accepts this deal as this trade provides additional cap space and will allow the Knicks to make future moves to strengthen their roster. We like all the players that we have acquired.

Cost Analysis: NY out: Bargs 10.5M and Scola 9.408M = 19.908M: NY In: Jordan 9M, AK 5M, Balk 4.6 = $18.60 x 1.25 > 19.904

Houston accepts as we needed to upgrade our bigs and this move does that without sacrificing Key players. We like Bargs with the front like of Young and Boozer. More moves may follow.

Trade 142

KNICKS WOLVES START FINAL ROSTER PUSH

In a move to solidify their rosters, the Minnesota Timberwolves have acquires PG Toney Douglas, SF Anrdrei Kirilenko and starting Center DeAndre Jordan. ($2,067,880/$5M/$9M = $16.068). The Knicks also waive their interests in RFA Courtney Lee who will resign with MN at the MLE.

In exchange, the Knicks acquire Lamar Odom $8,000,000 & Wesley Matthews $6,505,320 ($14.505).

The Knicks confirmed this deal which delivers one of the top young SG in the league - making that a position of strength where they had been questionable (Matthews/Fernandez can dominate most SG combos the East will offer). In addition, Lamar Odom brings a great skill set, can defend 3 positions and brings a wealth of Championship experience.

This was a difficult move because of the value of the players coming from both sides, but in the end the GMs were able to find a balanced deal that would help both teams and signed off. This was a fun negotiation that led to a terrific deal. Good trading Jaron!

Wolves accept. We really needed a center to replace Dwight. Giving up Matthews was tough but to get a young defensive center was something we could not pass up. Wolves also swung a deal to acquire Landry Fields to fill in the gap at SG. Great doing business Scott.

DEN and SAC have a trade to announce.

DEN outgoing:
Andre Iguodala $14,718,250
Maurice Williams $4,800,000
Amir Johnson $5,500,000
total: about 25 million

SAC outgoing:
Kevin Garnett $12,000,000
Steve Nash $6,000,000
Dorell Wright $4,106,000
Joel Anthony $3,600,000
total: $25,706,000

We thought we were done, but this deal was to good to pass up. Nash is still basically 50/40/90 on 15/11/4. We wanted to pair Griffin with an elite pg that can get the most out of him. KG in a teaching role to Griffin is cool, and he makes a wicked 6th man. Wright is 16/5/3 on elite 3 point shooting. We accept this deal.

#144 PHX and IND have a trade to announce

IND sends:
Brandon Roy 5,400,000

PHX sends:
Darrell Arthur 3,006,217
Xavier Henry 2,323,200
Greivis Vasquez 1,191,240

Salarie works because IND is under the cap! We do this because we add a second star next to Horford. Phoenix' medical staff will keep him healthy and make an important go-to-guy at the perimeter.

Trade 144
SACTO & NYK MAKE QUICK DEAL BEFORE REHAB

In what can only be descibed as scitzophrenic behavior, the KIngs moved their beloved Andre Iguodla and reliable center - Brendan Haywood - back to the Knicks - who at least hated to lose Iggy in the first place, but have soured (apparently) on the prospects of a healthy Greg Oden for the dependable play of Haywood.

Bautm - Oden to SAC for Haywood - Iggy to NYK.

Reached for comment, the Knicks GM announced - third times the charm - and fool me once . . . upon a time - - . has anyone seen my yellow pills. He seemed pleased with the deal - and Batum could not even make toast!

Trade 145

Clipper & Knicks make follow up deal

The NY Knicks have moved their new wing and PF to the Los Angeles Clippers In a deal to balance both rosters. NY sent Andre Iguodala ($13.5) and Lamar Odom ($8.2M) to the Clips for Josh Smith (13.3M) who brings elite athleticism and tenacious defense to the Knicks. With Billups and Sessions ready to trigger this team, Matthews, Smith & Amare can fly. This group should go deep into the playoffs for the next 5 to 6 years. In order to make the salaries work, the Knicks have also acquired Courtney Lee, a prolific scorer who will bring instant offense and perimeter D to the second unit.

This should complete the Knicks off season - until the next deal comes around.
