The depth in the front court and at PG worries me. I think all things being equal (read: health), the Wizards would make the playoffs but that turns out never to be the case.

If we miss the playoffs, it will likely be due to injuries to key players and if that is the reason, i could really see a 28-54 type season if there are major injuries.

I think Evans was part of the trade

Seriously, though, they're pretty deep. And I would expect them to to use KG/AK47/PP in the frontcourt together to close games, which isn't anything to sniff at.

He was in early versions of the deal but was later removed. Nets roster is actually:
PG Williams / Livingston / Taylor
SG Johnson / Terry
SF Pierce / Kirilenko
PF Garnett / Evans / Teletovic
CE Lopez / Blatche / Plumlee

It'll be very interesting to watch them compete, especially since it seems like everyone forgot that Deron Williams is actually a VERY good player. In fact, if Garnett can keep it going, I don't see too much of a difference between them and the Spurs as far as far as contender status is concerned.

I think KG is a bigger determinant of the Nets' success than Lopez.Jay81 wrote:Missing the playoffs again wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. My gut says he will leave - and wants to catch up to Wade in number of championships. I got the feeling they're not as tight as they used to be, and there's a bit of subtle friction. It's nowhere near the Kobe/Shaq friction, but I think it's enough for him to want to show he can win a championship without DWade and Bosh.
