Sure we can offer Hayward or Parsons a deal for less money but they will be producing less as well. We sat through a 7 win season a fews years back its time to stop being cheap and do what we gotta do to win games. And by the way hayward or parsons can't guard LeBron either and since were in eastern conference that's pretty dam valuable.

I personally think Hayward & Parsons will cost more than Stephenson. 'Restricted' free agents are never easy gets and 9 times out of 10 involve overpay if you want to steal them from their respective team

My top choice is Parsons right now but I would not mind Hayward if the price is similar. Main thing for me is I want to find a way to land these guys while moving Henderson if at all possible.

Do you not want to win games? The jazz were an embarrassment and parsons was on a team with harden and dwight snd couldnt even make the western finals. Lance led the most disfuntional basketball team i ever saw to the eastern finals. Id rather go with the proven winner.

Lance caused the dysfunction. That is what I am worried about.

No he didn't. Everything was good till they made that stupid trade. Turner is the one who caused it

I believe you meant to say "semi-finals."

Pardon my schadenfreude over Houston getting bounced in the first round.

Oh I am sorry I did not realize Turner blew in James' ear. Lance is a weird guy who causes problems. I think was less adding Turner and more losing Granger that caused the problems. It has been rumored that they lost control of him when they moved Granger.

Stephenson was a problem in the Pacers' locker room. It's more than one source that has vouched as such, and the chemistry of that team started deteriorating at least a month before the Danny Granger-Evan Turner swap. I have my concerns, but when I evaluate the personalities I can't help but to think it was just the mentally fragile nature of Roy Hibbert, George Hill, and/or Paul George were the real issues, and Stephenson's childish & playful gander took a toll on them as a scapegoat

Oh you mean the game lance held lebron to his worst playoff performance ever with 7 points? Ya what a problem that guy is. If Mkg held lebron to 7 points you think MJ would really care if he blew in his ear. Common man

No I mean the series where he was a team distraction. Listen if we get him hopefully we can keep him in check but the dude is a head case. He causes more problems than he creates solutions if left unchecked. Hopefully if he comes here Al and Kemba can get him in line and keep him from Owensing another team.

I agree but you can't just call the teams best player a distraction. People forget hibberts goose eggs im pretty sure that was a bigger distraction and a killer for team chemistry than anything lance did. People act like he's jr smith or somethin.

The question will always be whether what Lance was doing got into the other guys heads causing the poor play to at least a little extent.

The fall during the later part of the season was rough on the whole team and if Lance truly was the cause as has been said it could have accounted for a lot of it.

I have a sneaking suspicion that this thread will turn out just like the Stauskas thread - a lot of analysis for a guy that gets snapped up by another team.

I don't think anyone even started a Noah Vonleh thread. I mean he was projected to go top 5 on our big board.

That leads me to believe that we're signing a free agent that seems so far out of reach it's not worth talking about.

Carmelo Anthony.

I mean, if we follow the draft rule where all that talk was pointless and a more hyped player around the NBA ended up on our laps.

Why stop there? Let's just talk about Lebron.

Lebron is so...Jabari Parker + Andrew Wiggins

Carmelo is more Vonleh. He could be considered top pick but only to a team like the Cavs.

In so many of those clips he was giving Lebron + Wade fits.

Most of the "On-Court Weaknesses" apply to like 80% of the NBA. The advantages outweigh the weaknesses by a wide margin. All I can think is that MKG and Lance would be a devastating defensive duo. 2nd best defensive wing duo in the league short of Lebron + Healthy Wade IMO.

Add Vonleh and Biyombo to that backcourt defense and you have an elite defense (probably best in the league) for years to come.
