overvalue? Im not so sure
if we overvalue its not by far
Good to see actually Hennny sees same things we do.Pels look like one of the two teams(blazers are other)in need a valid C.(at least on paper) So Im happy he made that proposal.

its same as Ibaka case...
99% of this board agree Ibaka has lil value cuz he is expiring...and are willling to trade him for fraking scrubs....and late 1st rounder
why does the same dont apply to Holiday? seems they want full value not half not 75% full.
Vuc is on awesome contract.Holiday will field near max offers.Well maybe they like their chances dunno.
maybe they valuee their pick so much then I agree ...it was a trade to reject
Id revisit that trade and propose same thing I proposed 2 months ago
Propably Payton+Vuc+Mario+ some 2nd rounder would make them think twice before haniging out it would be for Holiday+Evans+ 1rd pick (again maybe they overvalue their pick)
Payton perfect guy for their team homeboy good for marketing purpose.Sure thing over an riskof keeping Holiday
Vuc a solid center to pair with AD.ANd pooper Mario cherry on the cake fresh start for a guy who shown some flashes in his 1st season. We get 2 high risk expirings who may leave and a pick.I think this would make more sense for Pels but it would be also a lot to give up for us.

You're as if not more delusional as our front office if you believe a single letter of a word that "Magical" says.

I sort of don't trust Smith's knee. I can image hearing that thing pop as he goes up for an explosive move. I don't trust Monks game either, seems like the definition of a combo guard without the PG skills, at least from what I've seen. I don't ever see him get to the foul line either. I guess Isaac gives us that longer term "potential" type of player.

I rooted for that austalian kid in 2014 and against KP in 2015, so more probably than not, I am a way off. However, I like that they are solid shooters and generally skilled players, while Isaac has a bit more potential to develop into franchise talent IMO.

I've been thinking we were due some lottery magic to make up for Dwight leaving for the past 4 seasons. At this point I'm thinking we've used up all our magic and basketball karma early on with hits on Shaq/Penny/Tmac/Dwight, and that we've actually been in the red the past 4 years and consequently paying off our debt.

Maybe if I don't have hopes for a top 3 pick, we might actually get lucky and get one? Seems like life always works that way in other areas.

we got 2 generational players with a #1, and got a 3rd we turned into Penny. There are a lot of other teams that have never sniffed those types of players. We are actually due for some bad lottery luck for a few years :(

imo Monk seems one dimensional. I feel like he should be getting to the basket more and to the FT line due to his athleticism. I don't know, he's kind of an odd player to me. I guess I expected him to be more of a scorer than a shooter.

blegh. So basically we'll get someone who doesn't have any basic basketball skills. But that's ok because at least he has potential, and we get to "develop" him.

Kinda J/k, Maybe we'll land Dennis Smith..or somebody.

With the 3? I was hoping we have 6th best odds on lottery night, but jump to a top 3 during the reveal and take the Lakers' spot in the top 3, making them draft 4th or 5th, sending their pick to Philly, and to us in 2019. We wind up with a top 3 this year and a 2019.

Or are you not convinced there is anyone in the top 3 that will be good?

The market for Vucevic isn't robust as there just aren't many teams that need centers. That by itself doesn't mean that Vucevic doesn't have value though. Like us, New Orleans is short on talent, but they have a legitimate star on their roster already. They need to put some talent around Davis. Outside of Anthony Davis (which was a no-brainer), their front office hasn't drafted well at all. Vucevic gives good production on a really affordable contract that runs for two more years. That has to be appealing to a team that keeps striking out in the draft and free agency.

I wouldn't expect anything less from NO than an offer including that pick if they are interested in Vucevic. I'd want another asset in return as well, but I don't know why we would even ask for Holiday.

Perhaps Cheick Diallo, Tyreke Evans (expiring), and their 2017 unprotected 1st for Vucevic.

My bad....For some odd reason I missed that whole part where you clearly said we make the jump to the top 3... WTH?

Yes.. I do believe there are players in the top 3 that will be good. I flip flop more than Hillary Clinton on whether I want us to get josh Jackson, Fultz, or Ball. Everyone here has convinced me on Isaac's ability so I'm a little worried that he has the potential to end up being the best player out of this draft and of course we pass on him. I used to trust our FO's abilities but I fear that we'll A) fall out of the top 5, and B) if we do get a high pick that Henny will mess it up by drafting for athletic ability over actual talent.

I was a little confused with that as well but it tells me the FO couldn't still potentially be delusional about make the PO's this season or perhaps they're just under extreme pressure from ownership to make a post season run. At any rate. That pick and Tyreke sounds like a good deal to me although I guess im higher on Hield than you are, id take him too.

I'm not very high on Hield, but I might ask for him. He can obviously shoot. I just doubt that New Orleans would be eager to part with him, and I don't think he has enough upside that I'd care much either way. New Orleans doesn't have much young talent. Diallo came out of college too early, but he is really young and worth a flyer. I can't imagine New Orleans would mind parting with him since he isn't contributing anything yet.

I mean they have more incentive to panic than we do if they want to keep AD happy but I think asking for Holiday and their 1st pick is way too much if the offer was just Vucevic. Maybe they're testing the waters, gauging Niks value before settling for a lesser return but still revolving around that pick.

This team is so bad man...I hope we just tank and then trade for Jimmy Butler on draft night and go from there. We desperately need a fresh start and a proven scorer. You can tell this season is hurting the locker room. I would trade the whole team for Jimmy Butler now, that's how little I think of this team.

Unfortunately, everything is in our favor going into the game. We are at home, and Philly will be on the tail end of a back-to-back, which means that Embiid almost certainly won't play.
