Yeah, pretty tough to leave him out of the lineup at the moment. I imagine he'll just keep rotating positions giving different guys a day off.

since the all-star game, Lauer, Burnes, and Houser have been better than Woodruff, Peralta, and Anderson. There's a pretty significant jump in ERA between those two groups, and whip goes along with ERA, so it's not just luck.

BA has a good thing going. He can do Brewers and get as much time off as he wants to do NCAA tournament and NBA.

A flawed person no doubt but he was a joy to watch at the plate. In his prime, he was as good as anyone.

Yup. One giant miscalculation. I don't even care that he was cheating. To me, his cheating was less serious that what Sosa and McGwire were doing. He was trying to bounce back quickly from injury with testosterone gummies IIRC. Not stacking muscle like some sort of mutant. He eventually admitted fault and apologized to the proper parties, but it was all too late. If he admits it right after the test instead of throwing everyone but himself under the bus he's still an unquestioned Brewers legend. In my eyes, he still is. One of the sweetest swings I've seen. One of the most clutch hitters in Brewers history.

Braun is my most favorite Brewers player of all time. The only Brewers jersey I have is a Braun jersey.

I was hoping for Braun's return at the deadline to finish his Brewers career with a world series victory this postseason, but Stearns got Axford instead.

Unlike most players, Braun was really loyal to the Brewers and had signed team friendly contracts to stay with the team throughout his career.

Even though the Brewers is the smallest market MLB team and hardly made the playoffs during those years, MVP Braun has been genuinely loyal to the team and fans and stayed with the Brewers. He could've join another team this season as a FA, but he didn't and decide to retire a Brewer instead.

I give Braun lots of credit for his loyalty to the Brewers and their fans, it's one of the key reasons why he's my favorite Brewers player of all time.

Don't know Braun as a person, just his public persona and sure he's flawed, but we all are. He's human and happened to be under a microscope. He used PEDs at the back nine of PED use, got caught, and lied about it. I understand his transgressions, as Thom Yorke said, "you do it to yourself you do, and that's what really hurts", so I still have compassion and can empathize with the guy.

Also, he was at the genesis of the franchise's resurgence so he's a sentimental favorite.

Finally, the Brewers are in first place and could win the WS. :D
