Some Hornets fans don't love themselves lol.
Simmons and almost everyone on The Ringer are trash. It will do everyone good if people stop paying attention to them, especially if it involves Charlotte.

Re: Offseason Thread
FWIW I love the Group Chat podcast on the Ringer, they do a great job and they are never anti Hornets.
Any idea on who we target in FA?

Lost in all this draft talk is we also have FA coming up.
Would be nice to get an experienced veteran to go with the young guys. Hayward should be that guy but he can't stay healthy and this is likely his last year with us.

Re: Offseason Thread
I still sort of like the idea of Dylan Brooks, but at the same time he is an idiot. Only him if we swap Oubre for him.
Yuta Watanabe, would instantly be our best 3pt shooter.
Georges Niang, would also be our best 3pt shooter.
Max Strus, would also be our best 3pt shooter.
Gabe Vincent.
Maybe Dennis Schröder for backup PG/6thman if he will accept the role (and pay).
Some good backup options, fit well and are affordable. But not much else at our price range.
I don't expect much in free agency, we're pretty much on record as wanting to run it back next year. Only major move is if someone will trade for Rozier or we sign&trade PJ.

I think Bridges is most likely coming back at a reduced contract.

Re: Offseason Thread
Not sure why I've never thought of this before, but is it possible MJ wants to see if he's going to sell before he makes a Bridges decision? Seems like a major decision to make that a future owner might want some say in.

He is selling. It is a done deal from what I hear.

Re: Offseason Thread
He's going to get paidddd.
And there's a reason for that. Players who are 6'8 and can shoot and defend are not common.
Which is why Miller is the pick, and he's better than Johnson.

I was convinced Miller was the pick as soon as they sent the staff down to Alabama to do a background check on his past. You don't waste time like that if you weren't serious about taking him #2.
Mitch was also at his 41 point game vs SC where he hit the game winning shot. I bet he was sold on Miller that night.

That's the night I was sold as well.

If it's a done deal, then Woj and other national media would have broken the news by now?

Suns supposedly don't want Rozier anymore.

Re: Offseason Thread
I think Patrick Beverly could be a good fit if we don't resign DSJ.
He has a good history of making the playoffs, would be a good vet and also would probably get us some media coverage as he works with BarStool Sports now.

i can't see many team that would trade for Rozier, maybe if Dallas lose Kyrie?

Because they don't want to announce it until after the Finals and the Draft? Most likely - They do not want it to steal the spotlight.
It is almost certain to occur by the end of next month.
