Looking forward to the Wake game the most, I'd like to get a good look at Teague. I've been kinda intrigued by Duke's Kyle Singler recently too.

Re: College players thread/ Draft Related thread
last night I had a dream that we lost our pick to lac but we got curry with the miami pick and dejuan blair with our other 1st.
bad thing is last year the night before the draft I dreamed we would get love in a trade down and get miller. no joke as tf21 I sent him a txt about it.
is curry big enough to play point next to foye? is foye's size that big of an issue? it has not been yet. we can always throw brew at the 2 with foye at the 1 if we need.

Jrue got 2 quick fouls, sat out, and then got a 3rd = total 16 minutes. He stayed out most of the 2nd half. He was assigned to Budinger and did the best job of any Bruin. Jrue at 6-4 actually has the length to guard taller players like he did in hs against Delvon Roe. His hands are very fast. Budinger used his experience to get a clever foul.
You guys talk so much about him, do you ever get a chance to watch Jrue? I get almost all the UCLA games here in New York City on Fox...one of those fox west or whatever college channels. You should get UCLA-ASU
Thats mainly why i said "from a numbers standpoint". I watched the first 5 or so minutes and was switching back and forth btwn that game and PHX/DEN. But after that i had to continue packing so i didnt get to watch the rest of the game. I just went back and checked the box score. I did notice he had 4 PF.
I have watched him and i love him. I think he is a great fit next to Foye. Since I live here in LA i do get almost all the games and I fully expect Jrue to play much better against ASU today.
It will be interesting to see if he can shut down Harden.

OK, first you want to trade Al Jefferson straight up for Russell Westbrook, but don't think Okalhoma City would do it.
Now you're calling Gomes a "coach killer"? This has to be a joke account. Gomes has played for now 3 coaches in his career.
1. Doc Rivers - Who still has a job.
2. Randy Wittman - Only cause he got traded as part of the KG deal, and you can hardly blame Gomes for Wittman being fired.
3. Kevin McHale - Who stil has a job, but probably doesn't want it long term.
So on what planet can you legitimately call Ryan Gomes a "coach killer"?
Gomes is also making just under 40% of his threes, hitting almost 1.2/3 per game.
Seriously, think before you post.

Thanks klomp, you just helped me plan my day. I have a long list of things to do, and one of them included going to the gym. Guess I'll be running on the treadmill at 2:45 to watch Harden versus Holiday. They gotta be guarding each other.
I think Harden is going to be ranked the better prospect, and likely will go 2nd, Holiday will be in the 4-6 range, most likely.
So I think we grab Harden if he's there, but most likely not, but we're very satisfied to get Holiday if that's what's left.

I have only caught bits and pieces but so far Holiday again hasnt had much of an impact from what I have seen. James Harden hasnt exactly scored a large amount of numbers.

Re: College players thread/ Draft Related thread
I'm watching the UCLA/ASU game. It's my first time watching Holiday for an extended period. I love the kid. He's so big, strong, long and physical; oh, and pretty athletic too. He also just knows how to play the game and gives great effort on the defensive end. He shut down Harden in the first half although Harden's going off a bit right now, but alot of that is with Holiday out of the game.
That's the good. The bad is that he hasn't shown me an outside shot and he really really needs to improve his handle if he's going to play point at the next level. If he can improve that handle, he'd be terrific next to Foye because he seems to "think" like a true point and he'd dramatically improve our permimeter D. He'll be a risky pick though because he won't play much point this year and he's not really a focal part of that offense so we're not quite sure what he's capable of doing.
Harden is a smooth player. I don't think he's a good fit with us. To me Foye has proven that he's a better player when he can play the majority of the game off the ball (kinda like Wade), so getting another slightly undersized SG isn't the answer. And unlike Mayo, Harden is never going to play point in the NBA. All that said, Harden's a terrific player and a certain top five pick. Just not sure he's a great fit with us.
With the way we're playing lately, any chance we end up with a pick outside the top 10 and thus don't have to worry about this discussion? And anyone hoping that the Heat start losing, they clearly our giving up their pick this year. I just hope it's 11-14 and not 17-20.

I can't blame him if he does. I think it would help his development alot more than playing 20 minutes or so a game in the NBA next season. As a Wolves fan I hope he comes out because hopefully we won't be picking top three next season, which is where he'll get pick imo (these are the same reasons I hope Rubio comes out this year).
EDIT: Wow, Harden is taking over down the stretch and in OT. He's real good.

Teague got to the line 18 times today... sound like something we could use?

Re: College players thread/ Draft Related thread
I think off the bench Teague would be great. But if we planned on a Teague/Foye backcourt of the future i dont think it would work having 2 guys with the scorers mentality in the backcourt.
Or maybe i just need to watch more of Teague as i havent seen him but once or twice.

Parker/Ginobili ? Not that I'm saying they're equal, but a scoring back court could work well with a low post guy, as seen in San Antonio.

Btw, Cole Aldrich is having a really really nice year, I've been catching up on him and I he looks great. Nice athleticism, big, he could be great in a rotation with Al and Love, I like him WAY better than Thabeet.

Re: College players thread/ Draft Related thread
I knew someone was going to bring them up. Parker Ginobli AND Duncan are all very underrated passers and all know how and when to defer to one another. Im not sure Teague can be a deferrerer and i know for a fact that right now Jefferson is terrible at deferring to teammates.
Billups/Hamilton is another backcourt that i think had scorers but both players were very unselfish.
Maybe Teague can be that guy, i dunno, i have only watched him a little bit. But i have issues with his size, defensive potential and the fact that he averages 4 ast to 3 TO's per game.

Definitely, I agree. I'm just trying to see the light in such a confusing draft where we likely won't have a top pick.

Re: College players thread/ Draft Related thread
Oh i know, im starting to look more at the players in the 5-17 range moreso than the Harden/Griffin/Rubio's of the world. I would love to win the lottery or end up in the top 3, but the likelyhood of that happening is slim. I love the website BTW and i def agree that Aldrich should be considered with the Miami pick.
