I've been watching a bit of the AZ/UCLA game. I used to like Walton, but the guy has become unbearable.

So apparently Chad Ford thinks Randle is the #2 player on our board. :vomit:

I'd really like to see LaVine made more of a vocal point of the offense. You can see the explosive energy in his movements. Clearly confident in his shot too, as he has the hair trigger on some of these that have ended up pretty off.

I think Ford's got him too high on his board. Borderline 1st rounder at this point.

I love the LaVine kid. If he declares, and we could somehow get back into the top 10 and get LaVine to go along with Parker/Embiid/Exum. :eek2:

Not sure sure if it's relevant, but Barnes and where Wiggins stats are now are almost identical their freshman years. Barnes got hot the end of his freshman year to lift his stats to the levels Wiggins is currently at. I think Wiggins should go #1, but Embid reminds me of Akeem and Hakeem, which has to get one excited.

How good do you think Melo is? Because a lot of advanced metrics would disagree and disagree wholeheartedly with the notion he's even top-30.

I don't like his style of play but he's a top 15 player in the league.

What xRAPM says really means little to me in this case (honestly means pretty little to me in any case), Melo is an extremely good player. xRAPM, PER, WS etc honestly mean very little to me. The only way those really can work IMO are the players being compared having similar playstyles, similar usage and similar teams.

Melo in NY is probably top 15-20, but Melo in Denver was easily a top 5 player.

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

Last year, in New York, as a power forward, was Melo's best year.

I think melo's best year was when they got bill ups in Denver. Other then that he's been tagged teamed with JR smith and and aging Iverson, never really had a number 2 that would accept a role

It will be interesting to see if LaVine comes out. Unless he gets more time/touches, going to be a major projection, but so is Exum.

Not huge into college so don't shoot me in the head for simple comparisons... I see Parker being a Melo type, would hate that pick unless we end up with the third pick. See embiid as a Dwight Howard type player, would be completely content with the pick, but we still need scoring and a two gaurd and would hope we so a deal to get one in the draft or young somehow. Wiggins with the potential to be a Kobe type player, and I think would be the smartest move unless there is a 2 with scoring ability in the draft that we could get somewhere in the late lottery... My 2 cents, I just don't really understand all the Parker love, if he is a Melo type baller, he will bring us nothing but dissapointment.
Bucks fan since day one. Go Bucks!

You're making the major mistake of first comparing these people to NBA players and then comparing those NBA players to determine your analysis. You have to judge these prospects for who they are, on the court. Throw away the comparisons.

Coach K made Austin Rivers into a lead player his freshman year as well. Now I'm not saying Rivers is in the same stratosphere as Parker. But I just see a solid player in him, a Big Dog type

The way you talk you'd think Carmelo Anthony was Josh Smith.
