So did anyone end up watching the interview? Is it any good?

Hey Slav since you've mentioned going to New Orleans before. What is there to do over there? Been thinking about visiting over there in the summer.

I've seen lots of bad movies out there. Can't remember the last movie that I actually enjoyed.

Kilroy's been there recently I think, he might have better advise. For me driving in from Houston, I can stop at Baton Rouge, which is supposed to be a cool place, see the old cotton plantations along the way. In NO, you can do the obvious things like French Quarter & Bourbon Street, Garden District is supposed to be beautiful with the old colonial mansions, St. Louis Cathedral and Cemetery, WW II museum, other than that if you are into it, you can do swamp tours and handle little baby alligators.

There's a ton of food that is original to New Orleans and Louisiana, its probably he richest cultural city in US.

Summer's probably the wrong time to go if you're traveling from the west coast... It's all kinds of hot and humid in the summer.

I'd go in early spring or late fall... Fall is probably better just because of fewer bugs and leaves changing.

As far as what there is to do... It depends on what you're looking for. You can explore and shop the french quarter, eat amazing food, and just soak up the atmosphere... At night it gets a little crazy... It's like a street long frat party kind of... Only with a broader cross section of humanity. Not sure if id go just for that.

I'd probably avoid Mardigras but Jazzfest would be awesome.

Remember, there are areas of New Orleans you do not want to be in at night too... Think more depressed Compton or Watts.

It's a small place, so a long weekend would probably be enough... If you want to stay longer, hit up surrounding areas of interest... It's not too long a drive to Memphis or Mobile, etc...

The Creole Nature Trail is cool too.

I got roped into playing a super rugged biker bar. Thought i was pricing myself so high they could not afford me, but they didn't even bat an eye. Solo acoustic in a biker bar... and I don't do covers on demand so Skynnard aint happening. Should be interesting. I scoped it out sunday and a Hells Angel just kept asking me to let him make some calls on my cell phone. :noway:

I got dragged into going to Lake Tahoe. Not looking forward to freezing my balls off...hopefully someone volunteers to be the dd so I can throw down some brewskis. It's been a minute since I've indulged in alcohol.
