Embiid's back already scared me...adding in a broken foot just isn't good IMO. He seems injury prone at this point and even if he can play he would just be a walking timebomb ala Yao.

no thanks.

we probably just got **** by the basketball gods again....

Exum future..joy

The foot injury (if it's even a real thing) doesn't necessarily have to be connected to the back issue. Having two separate issues doesn't automatically make someone injury prone. I'm going to wait for more info to come out before dismissing an Embiid pick. He's just way too talented, too fluid as an athlete, and has the necessary size to be a perennial all star.

Bill Walton, too, no? Foot problems for big guys is not good.

This is one of many articles that suggest Embiid could be injury prone. Bad backs and feet are not as easily overcome as an ACL injury. BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR...

With the supposed Embiid injury I think if he is there Hinkie trades with Orl for 4 & 12 and dangles #10 to a team projected bottom 5 next season.

We still owe Mia a 1st and doing this allows us to make 2 additions, still suck next year turning that 1st to 2 2nds I believe and we should have 2 lottery picks next year.

It's funny how people interpret things. An "injured foot" is not synonymous with "broken foot". If his foot is declared broken, I would consider passing on him. Guys injure their foot all of the time, and besides, he's been running. Who runs on a broken foot? Think.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

I ran with limited pain on a foot that was broken in 5 places for 2 weeks before finally deciding to get it X-rayed. /shrug

we have 5 2nd rd picks. No way we keep all of them. If 2 of the 3 Wiggins, Parker, Exum are available I think Orl moves in.

We could just take Exum which Orl needs IMO more than Wiggins or Parker.

Hmm.. Draftexpress now has Exum and Gordon with our 3rd and 10th pick.

Anyway we can trade our third and 32nd pick for Magic's 4th and 12th? They like Exum don't they? Hennigan also likes to overreact on injuries. He's the GM who also passed up on Noel saying he is a red flag. Hmmm..

People practice/play with Non weight bearing bone fractures all the time. Especially runners, they rest an injury for a week then go out there to run with the injury still in place.

Embiid is my pick at 3. We don't have to rush anyone to playing. Eg Nerlens.

Agreed.

At the end of the day, while it would be nice for our players to develop on the court together, getting the best player in the draft for the 2nd year in a row at a discounted pick is a huge bargain.

Roughly 20 minutes after coverage for the draft begins (maybe 7:25 EST). This is a weird question.

Thanks but I don't think so. On my TV listing it lists the draft as 2 separate shows one starting at 7 and ending at 7:30p. the other beginning at 7:30p. I wasn't sure if the first was all pre-show, which happens a lot with sports listings and live events.

Thanks for the extra bit of snark at the end, though.

IDK man....at some point you gotta start adding healthy players....building around 2 big men with injury issues is RISKY.
