Masai has made some brilliant moves this summer... Raps are prime for a break-out next year. Disappointing not seeing the Dubs FO being as progressive as the Raptors.

Maybe I'm missing something, but re-signing two core players from a non-contender doesn't scream 'brilliance' to me...

How do the Clips keep signing all of these players? Their team is sooooooo deep. No excuses for them not to win the title next season barring injuries.

Farmar definitely took a bit of a discount. I think if he's not playing in NY or LA he has no interest In playing in the NBA and would go back to Isreal. Played almost his entire life in LA. Plus Doc is a players coach with championship pedigree so I think a lot of guys like playing for him

They may not keep Granger and lost Collison, who is better than Farmar. They added Hawes as well so they really are about the same as last season, only that Hawes is the backup big they needed, but they are no better, maybe a little worse if Collison is that much better than Farmar.

They were a 50+ win team without Rudy Gay, and they only got older this year. Masai is signing deceptively high impact players (i.e PP) for low $$$. They've got 2 all-stars on the roster, with their most promising player still only 22 years old. To cap it all off, they've got tons of financial flexibility moving forward.

Depending on what happens with LeBron, they will be a finals threat next year, and they've got plenty of room to improve.

Still, I wouldn't call re-signing Lowry and Patterson 'brilliant' moves. Good call signing Lowry, Patterson is a solid rotation guy, but brilliant is a bit far.

IDK about finals threat either, they aren't even in the discussion for best in the East.

lol no, their defense still gonna be average/trash. 2nd round exit as usual.

Depends how they replace Granger. They are about the same, unless Farmar does better than Collison did. Hawes adds a taller outside shooter and that can be very valuable, as it pulls the opposition center out and allows the likes of CP to drive the lanes much easier. Imagine Bogut guarding at the three point line, not what we want him to be doing.

With Gordan Hayward getting the max, i don't have any doubt Klay will get the same next off season.

Only way to avoid it is if we extend him this off season or he has a major drop off next year (or injury).

Maybe a lucrative deal that mutually benefits both parties and a lifetime membership to Harborside Medical Dispensary will seal the deal.

Before all of this talk of Kevin Love I believed that both the Warriors and Klay would get together this off season and sing a deal around 10-12 mil per. I doubt the Warriors would go much higher than 12.

Bogut makes around 12
Iguodala makes around 12
Curry makes around 11

Hard to imagine giving Klay more than all of them.

But with the Love circus and all of these outrageous contracts going out who the eff knows now.

Cavs just got max space. LeBron going back would be epic. There will probably be movies made about it a decade from now.

Lebron going back to Cleveland is disgusting. I'm sick and tired of witnessing Lebron take the easy way out and continually failing.

$15.75 M per season for Hayward?!

Hahahaha goodness what is Charlotte thinking. He's good but that's damn good money. Klay is seeing this and has dollar bill signs instead of eyes and a little drool forming in the corners of his mouth.

Edit: Oops not NO.

only slightly sarcastic. It's mainly my disdain for Lebron and the hype last year that he'd take the mantle of GOAT.

Gordon Hayward getting 16 million a year and some of these contracts kinda make me feel like David Lee is paid very fairly.

The FO should try to get an extension for Klay this offseason and tell him that we can't keep him for more than 12 million a year. Regardless of the insane signings being handed out this offseason, you can't have a contender with too much salary for four or five players.

Maybe trading Klay and Lee for Love and KMartin is not such a bad idea looking at it now. KMartin will never get more than he gets now and Klay likely will want the max himself.
