EA Sports has released its annual Super Bowl Madden simulation and it is good news for New England Patriots fans as digital Tom Brady and company were able to pull out an epic come from behind victory over the Seattle Seahawks.

In this year's simulation, the Seahawks led 24-14 in the third quarter following a Marshawn Lynch touchdown run, but the Patriots dug deep and came storming back to win 28-24.

Hold on. Wagners contract is comming due or u simply talking about him being in line for an extension? Hes going to command a ton of cash and with Wilsons comming deal and all the cap tied up in the secondary I think he stands the best chance outside of Lynch to be the first key piece theyll have to let go of In FA

EXTENSION. He's on his rookie deal making peanuts. 2015 is the last year of his deal. Same with Wilson. Also Lynch is a $8.5 Mil cap hit in 2015 in the last year of his contract as well. Schneider said something about keeping him around but it would be like $10 mil, which sounds crazy to me.

Nice to see the person who called the play step up.

That, Wilson saying "I hate losing" and "I keep my head up" when asked about the throw, Pete Carroll's "waste a play" explanation, the offsides after the INT that gave New England room to kneel down and assured Seattle wouldn't get the ball back down only two, and the fight borne of frustration at the very end, all make the schadenfreude paulpressey mentioned even sweeter.

Caroll is saying that it was his decision to throw and it cost them a championship. He's taking credit for it...Either it was his call or he's trying to save Bevell.

Jeremy Lane's injury was pretty nasty.

After listing to carrol's interviews I couldn't be more happier. I especially loved some key phrases. "They stole this from us" "we did everything necessary to win that game"

lol. I hate him so much.

Bevell has been hated by Seattle fans for years. I'd estimate 70% wanted him gone mainly for being too conservative and vanilla. In 2014 some of the disdain for him seemed to die down before now.

Also, Gus Bradley was 10 times more hated for his predictability by Seattle fans than Bevell, and he got a head coach job. Bob McGinn is a genius.

A few thoughts on the game:

1)NE was fortunate that Lane got injured since they absolutely torched his awful replacement. On the other hand, it also shows how fortunate SEA has been with injury luck this last few years since while their Defensive starters are great, many of the backups are very shaky.

2)SEA never adjusting to put Sherman or whoever on Amendola was a mix of stubborn and stupid. You can't give Brady easy 5 yard passes or he will complete them all game long

3)The 2nd and Goal from the 1 was shockingly awful. Maybe the worst playcall ever.

4)SEA fans hate Bevell (worst call ever) but they overall vastly underrate him. Their offense is basically a soso offensive line, awful wr's, and a qb who mainly can just run or run around and wait for a coverage to break down and a guy can get wide open, + a very good rb. They are more effective on offense than they should be based on their players.

5)SEA saved BB from being roundly criticized for going full McCarthy and not using a TO when SEA reached the goal line. There is almost no plausible reason to let SEA run down the clock. The only explanation that would make sense would be if BB still SEA's signals and knew it was a called Pass play and did not want to call TO to give them time to change their mind.

And so it begins for Seattle...

Their D-Coordinator has just been hired away by the Falcons. I was shocked it didn't start happening for them last year.

If you guys go back and look at the fantasy football thread I complained about this with Seattle all year. As a Marshawn Lynch owner, I noticed they were doing everything they could to not give him the ball during crunch time. I assumed it was to phase him out of the game-plan to dump him whenever they could.

Didn't think they would be so stupid as to do it at this magnitude. Stubbornness kills coaches every time. Now Seattle fans get to feel what we felt, almost exactly what we felt.

I don't expect them to totally unravel. It'll be a few years before Pete Carroll has to run away from a program he messed up again.

But I do take great pleasure (and my apologies to those who retain good Badger feelings about him) in the knowledge that, every day for the rest of his life, Russell Wilson will wake up with this thought: "I threw the costliest interception in NFL history."

I didn't think I'd care about the outcome of this game that much, but wow, was it awesome to see Seattle lose that way. They didn't even deserve to be in the Super Bowl anyways. Russell's pretentious, smug ass looking like he was gonna cry, and Sherman's reaction were priceless.

Dammit......it should have been Brady v. Rodgers

I wonder if God made him throw that interception.

He does work in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform. I believe He also said, "Pride cometh before a fall."

Wilson is an excellent running quarterback, but he's not an excellent quarterback. He's a lot closer in ability to Vince Evans than he is to the top dozen or so pocket passers now playing. I hope they pay him a ton, and I hope he keeps throwing those downfield moon balls, because they aren't going to land in the laps of prone receivers every time.

Imagine Wilson on a team without a good defense. People's perception of him would be completely different.

I think Schneider knows that, so I'm really curious to see how he handles Wilson's extension.

Wilson is not a good passer, but he does certain things very well - he plays within himself, he escapes the pocket, he doesn't throw an inordinate number of picks (which is what made his performance against the Packers that much more stunning). He could never run the offenses that Brady/Manning/Rodgers/Brees rely on to win. But if he has a good OC directing him, he can run the plays given to him and even, once in a while, toss a missile to a deep threat. He's done this despite not having one decent receiver on his roster outside of Golden Tate and like two games of Percy Harvin.

But I firmly believe that no one would be talking about Wilson as an elite QB if he didn't have Marshawn Lynch or that all-time great defense behind him.

If they give him an top-tier extension, which they likely will, it's going to be interesting to see what he can do when his team can no longer afford those pieces to surround him.
