Yea...honestly I just don't see it.

People keep saying they're impressed by his elite athleticism, for some reason he just looks like a good athlthe to me. Not great. I don't see the bounciness of a young Dwight. Maybe it's a matter of getting in better shape, but 19YO usually just add strength, not quickness. Maybe I'm missing something, need to see more.

He did surprise me with his skill level, which is just as important.

check out the windmills, tomahawks and spins. granted up against HS players and this was a few years ago but the guy is only going to get stronger/faster especially with how the heat work you out

theres fluidity in his movements and a burst you typically dont see from big men

time will tell

whats so funny about this lol
the guy has insane hops and strength for his age

Well that is Pat's point of view.

You got somebody hopping slam dunking balls all over the place, shooting 3s at his work out and pulling more offensive rebounds then defensive rebounds... people start to throw around categories to explain what type of player somebody is.

Pat eluded to Kempish

Bam is a GOLDMINE.

He's dominated the summer league already at 19. Here are the numbers for the third time:

3 G | 19-10-1-1-2 | 50.6% TS | 25.3 PER (27.1% USG) | .262 WS/48

The last rookie to put up 19-10 in his summer league season was Blake Griffin and here were his ROOKIE numbers:

82 G | 23-12-4-1-1 | 54.9% TS | 22.0 PER (27.3% USG) | .149 WS/48

he has a decent jump shot just needs to fine tune it and keep working at it but at his age its fine for someone who wasnt really given the green light to shoot at all at kentucky
athletically he is going to be dominant the shawn kemp comparisons are spot on

i cant wait to see how he fits in with dragic/whiteside

Zion Williamson is Shawn Kemp athletically. Bam is a great athlete though

Something never felt right about the Lebron-Zion comparisons athletically but Kemp feels right

Unfortunately/fortunately... we are too good of a team for Bam to be afforded the minutes/touches that Blake was afforded as a rookie.

Bam doesn't need the ball in his hands to generate points. He would average 7 off free throws alone.

You need the ball in your hands to generate FTs?

Looked back, that Kemp comparison was bad, Zion's too fast to be Kemp level. Lebron's legit his best comp athletically

Bam looks like a Dwight/Ibaka type prospect. Early on you can see the size and body structure is there. Very athletic and has a strength about him. Love the motor and willing to do the little things. Needs to work on jumper but he already shown he has good form at FT line and plays above the rim.
