Feels like we should be getting more votes considering rationales are still optional

Yeah but it's in inherent problem with comments I think. Lack of anonymity is some kind of psychological battier I think, specifically with voting without rational.

Idea to keep things going faster: every time someone takes more than hour to pick, his next turn is 15 minutes shorter. Until it reaches 1 hour which is the minimum time for a picking time limitation.

So the maximum delay won't be 2 hours x 8, but 2 hours, then 1:45 hours, then 1:30, 1:15, 1 hour x 4.

I think two hours per pick is fast enough.

There's no point in setting a pick window and then punishing people who are already picking within that window.

I wouldn't mind one where the clock was shorter or there were rewards for picking earlier.

two people we lost from the voting scandal:

Laimbeer (possibly the culprit)
flaco (offended by the lack of sportsmanship)

any way to bring them back?

I don't really remember what the voting scandal was about?

We don't know for sure what happened.

But we do know this:

A poster with zero posts (whose account had existed since around the time we started anonymous draft voting) was caught liking one of my posts. After I pointed it out, the like was removed.

On its own, that doesn't prove anything. But during the anonymous voting era we were routinely getting 10–14 votes per game, compared to maybe four now. Around the same time, several posters also disappeared entirely.

None of that, by itself, implicates anyone. But taken together, it's enough to make you stop and wonder what was really going on.

I'm pretty open minded, but as I always say - the more difficult restrictions, and the deeper we have to dig into mediocre or underused players? Always better for me. I feel like we've done a million versions of the same game when it comes to broader availability. I also really like categories and I like games where one pick you make influences the next pick that you can make. That makes for a little bit more strategy.
