I could see atlanta taking chance on bol but i could also see him dropping out of lottery and going to a team like the spurs.

I think the answer is easy: We have to try to bring another star. We cant bet 50% in win now and 50% in development. We could become a first round playoff team if we wait to our youngers be good.

The problem is: What is the limit to our offer? Will we give Mitch away in a package? If NO demands we will give Dennis, Mitch, RJ, Knox, Frank, Dotson, 2 FRP, 3 FRP... 5FRP? What is the limit?

I would make an final offer with Dennis, Frank, Knox, RJ + salary filler and the Dallas Picks. If they dont accept, I would let the Lakers outbid us.

Maybe we could do a similar offer (without the picks) for Beal or Towns and see the answer. And some others like Frank+Knox ou Dennis + Knox + picks to try to bring some cheaper player like Saric or Aaron Gordon.

But I think we cant be desperate and make bad deals. If we dont find a good deal, we have to keep cool and wait for the trade deadline. By then we will have an better idea of how good the team is and what we have to do to improve it.

Mitchell Robinson isn't a role player. If he's a role player, I'd be thrilled with filling out this team with more guys like him.

Honestly. 3rd for straight up for Siakam is my dream.

RJ would work as a secondary or tertiary playmaker with Kyrie.

RJ Barrett would arguably be our best player right now with respect to Mitch. If we woulda won the whole thing they woulda started questioning Zion’s position and fit and everything else. If Ja drops to us, watch all the question marks about him come up. So much negativity.
It’s suffocating.

He’s not perfect. None of these guys are but Barrett is gonna be a great Knick. He’s too driven and talented to not be a star. And the bright lights won’t shake him.

Sigh and we’ll probably trade him for AD.

A.Davis **** had Jrue Holiday, Cousins and bunch of veterans/wing players. And he couldnt do any ****.
Tradeing for AD only would make sense if Knicks get Kyrie or Durant.

RJ most likely going to be an allstar. But is he going to be like Derozan? Thats is the question for him.
10 years ago I'd not mind drafting him at all.
Nowadays there are a lot of athletic freaks around the league.

Anyone under 6'7" needs to be an elite shooter with great range and also great handles to be a legit star.
If RJ develop his 3pt shot, improve handles add a floater maybe then he can become that kind of star player. But right now he look like he can turn to Derozan kind of player. Which is still an allstar player but he doesnt have that edge against toughest opponents.
You either that height+wingspan with athleticism like Kahwi to shoot that ball over Embiid or be like Harden with crafty handle and deadly step back 3s. For 2nd wheel in a winning team I guess you need to be like Beal/Mccollum type of player which still requires great shooting and good handles to operate at midrange.

I cant see RJ becoming a franchise player. But he can be 2nd best player in winning team if he develops his game well.

I think rj and perhaps more importantly his family will comprehend the importance of shooting in todays nba. I mean he is the godson of strve nash for gods sake.

Having him play next to a ball dominant PG like Kyrie makes me worried though (I know that's not a given, yet).

I'd play him next to Frank and have RJ make plays for his teammates.

You can also say thar it takes the pressure off him for the first couple of years. It allows him to be the secondary ball handler and go against 2nd units.
