Suggs was so dynamic last night and when that shot is falling, he's so dangerous. He made some questionable decisions late in the game when it was out of reach but I love everything about this game and the swagger he plays with which is something that is missing from Cunningham and Mobley's game as they're more cerebral. He might not have the highest ceiling in this draft but he's my favorite player.

Also, I know there are some concerns about his 3 point shot but he has great form so I think it's inevitable that the shot improves unlike Hayes who has a clunky release. It sucks because I know Weaver won't take him if available because he took Hayes last season which would be stupid because Suggs can play combo guard whereas Hayes is more of a pure point guard.

I think Cade & Mobley are 1A/1B because they are not only the best but also the most cerebral... to be honest, getting 1 or 2 would be perfect for our team because we need all the IQ we can get on the floor.

Coach Casey is very good at creating a structure and developing talent but he’s not the most creative strategist in-game.

This is a perfect year to get a cerebral superstar, might be the only chance the Pistons get.
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

Maybe he'll act differently to "his" players, but Weaver seems aggressive enough to draft Suggs if he thought he was the best player available/best player for the team and then worry about pivoting on Hayes after the fact.

Aldama from Loyola is really promising and can end up being late lottery. It would be nice to get an extra pick.

After watching some of this g league game my top 3 are still

Cunningham , Mobley and Kuminga

After that I’m not sure, so I’m hoping we get luck into a top 3 pick

After we get screwed out of the top 3 of the lottery, Jalen Green will be the pick.

I think I read 7'2

If Weaver really really wanted Pat Williams last draft like it seemed, I'm sure Kuminga is one of his targets, he could play next to Grant in the frontcourt easily

More games wont change the fact hes 6'5 with a 6'8 wingspan and skinny. Guys who fit that physical comp are Zach Lavine,Malik Beasley, and Jordan Clarkson.

MJ/Kobe/D.Wade were all longer wingspans and took defense seriously unlike how Green is rumored to be. Not saying Green cant turn into a Lavine-style scorer but compared to Kuminga/Mobley/Cade hes more flawed and I see no way that changes.

yea i might look like an idiot later, but I think hes more of a 6th man scorer type than any sort of star

He looked good there!

And yeah I'll say it - resembles Hayes a bit with the left drives and footwork.

(ducks)

Yeah Kuminga opened my eyes the past few days. Hes in the same tier as Cade/Mobley

One thing I didn't know is that Kuminga skipped his senior year in high school.

Hes like a full year younger than Green and Cade.
He's going to be a problem in the league.

Top Tier
Cade
6'8 JKidd/Chauncey Billups
Evan
7 foot Bill Russell/Chris Bosh
Jonathan Kuminga
Paul George and Kahwi Leonard in one

I dont see any 2nd tier stars that the Pistons could use in this draft but I might be wrong

3rd Tier
Moses Moody - two way SG
Franz Wagner - versatile 2 way high iq
Jaden Springer - elite guard
Ziaire Williams - triple double shot making threat as a wing
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

After 1 game you're out on Green? Some of you guys put waaaaay too much stock into small sample sizes. For example, the nonsensical Hayes is a bust talk after 7 games, but I digress.

This was their first live game in over a year, gotta cut these teenagers some slack. Green looked nervous, he'll be fine once he gets used to the pro game. Kuminga looked great no doubt, he's another one of those "jack of all trades" type of guys like Cunningham and Mobley. I've said it before and will say it again, this is a stellar top 5 then there's a steep drop off. It's imperative that the Pistons stay in the bottom 2 or 3 so they leave some room for error with a lottery drop of a couple of spots.

Again as I said Its not even how he played it's his build. Why would I draft a 6'5 SG with a below average wingspan over a freaky do everything big, a two way wing with size, or a 6'8 guy with handles and a godly basketball IQ? If I draft Green I'm hoping he turns into Zach Lavine. Why would I take what could be Lavine over what these other guys could be?
