My offer to Moose would be an early extension that is like 3/30 or 4/40. It would kick in next year giving him an extra 7.5 mil next year on top of the 2.5 mil he is set to earn. Then it would be either 2 or 3 more years at 10 mil per year, what ever he choses. So if he takes the 2 extra year option he will be net around 13.5 mil per year with the contract kicking in early.

If he wants to just play it out that is cool also. If we need to replace him with Johnson Jr or something, not a huge deal. If we get a legit starting center we don't want to have to much invested.

Moose has been great. I need that free throw percentages to creep up above 70% before I am a believer at the big contract level.

Yeah since we already picked up his option, we can't really add money to this year.

I think you can do it if you have cap space. Pacers did something like that with Miles Turner, called it a renegotiate and resign or something.

yeah technically we could, but it would mean not resigning Coby White or anyone else.
