Serbia-USA was fairly called. Serbia just couldn’t find their shots— and poise— in that fourth quarter.

Compared to JPN-FRA or the 2002 SAC-LAL maybe...

lets just say that when GER had that 10pt lead early and wad threatening to blow it wide open, a lot of questionable home cookingg calls that made it possible to kill GER momentum and allowed FRA to tie it up. After that.. it was more or less equal.

Something like USA-Serbia. Just a little push at the right time :D

And then they said “Germany is the best in the world! They won the World Cup after all…”

Serbia with Bronze, Germany didn't have the dawg in them to rebound after the France loss...also Dennis played like trash.

Congratulation to Serbia for a well-deserved medal from Germany.
Serbian team has class, skill and the best player of the world... easy to root for these guys.

Sure.

Congrats to Serbia and Jokic for winning the bronze.

But more importantly, providing us what should be the greatest game of all time involving Team USA. We’ll never forget about it for a long time.

Except for Bogdanovic whining about the calls. LOL. But yes, such an elite, class team. i hope the Nuggets remain contenders despite the changes to their team, would love to see them still among the West contenders and stopping the youngish teams like the Wolves, Mavs and Thunder. Should be another great season in store for Jokic!

Yes i mentioned it earlier. This should have been the gold medal match if all things were fair. Kinda understand if this game sucked because a lot of us who experienced a bronze/3rd pkace finish kinds feels demotivated.

Still both teams have bright futures ahead. Cant wait to see Topic and that rookie showcase Djurisic-something in the next worlds/fiba/olympics.

Kinda like NBA games where refs call it so lopsided in the early part and calls it the opposite when the game is out of reach so they can say at the end of the game they called the same fouls. Lol

Perhaps, but that Steph explosion was just too much. Serbia did very well, maybe next time they’ll play smarter and don’t choke in the final quarter.

Didn't really choke. Tired legs caught up to them while US overwhelmed them with the best offensive talent in the world.

Eh semantics. They missed a lot of shots in the 4Q, shots that they made the first 3 quarters. Call it what you want.

This one i agree with. Imagine if that SF was the gold medal match. The QF pairings (then SF) really did them in. Being in the same group as US was a big factor since they couldn’t really belong to the Top 3 after the group stages. So yeah, we can blame the draw for groupings. LOL

To be honest, it's good to end the tournament on the winning note, but not many people will remember a medal if it is not a gold. For instance, we won silver medal in 2016 Olympics and it still isn't really appreciated that much. Game with USA will be remembered, though.

If France wins gold and Wemby balls out it would be an incredible milestone for his career.

The Serbians flop a lot (yeah I know Embiid does too), but it’s such a talented team. Their national anthem should have been playing later tonight.
