Dude blamed the injuries this season for Dallas' woes when in fact, he contributed to this situation by hiring his own unqualified medical staff and firing the original medical team, which had done a lot for the franchise AND he still has a job!!! Poverty franchise.

You don't get to trade for AD and then blame injuries. Like, it's one thing to walk into a situation where AD was already there, but you traded for him despite his history, so you don't get to blame injuries as to why the trade didn't work out. I mean, come on, it's AD.

Furthermore, you completed the Grimes trade even though the medical staff determined Martin was hurt. Nobody else owns the Luka and Grimes trades except Nico. To me even discussing the medical staff is giving Nico an out he doesn't deserve the Lakers medical staff couldn't keep him healthy either.

As an OKC fan, I thank Nico from the bottom of my heart. This has nothing to do with our 2028 unprotected pick swap with Dallas, no sir.

Forget that. Dallas eliminated OKC last year and somehow managed to beat them 3x this year. OKC would still have been a paper favorite over Dallas, but man is that a team you should be glad isn't in the bracket this year to possibly wreck a historic season.

And the 3 times they beat OKC it was without Luka I believe.

The three times we lost were without Chet and Hartenstein. Our only win was against Luka. I wonder when people will look at the actual context, but at this point it looks like a lost cause apparently.

I don't think it was bad what he said in the confrence.

He said he knew that Luka meant a lot to the fanbase, he didn't know that Luka would mean this much.

But what he fails to see is, not that LUKA meant this much, but the RETURN on the trade. An extremely injury prone, old player in his 30's, for the face of the league that's 25.

If lets say Dallas got a substantial return back, 2 young allstar players, for Luka, fans would be quite different in reaction.

But he got an injured old player who's really not worth it. And that in itself shows how disconnected to reality Nico is.

Yeah, but the strange thing is, wasn't the main reason he got such a poor return that he only wanted to deal with one team, that he didn't want to generate some bidding war because then it would mean things leaking out into the open and everyone knowing he wants to trade Luka?

The guy already knew how hated this trade would be that he wanted to keep everything under wraps.
