Free tacos at Taco Bell?

There's going to be free falafels in New York City if that Mamdani character wins the Mayor's race. So much free food. :D

The most years with the most guaranteed money would be the three-year, $54 mil ($18 mil per) offer with no team option.

Getting 2/48 guaranteed with a team option is better. But getting 3/75 guaranteed is best which is what Turner is hoping lacob will cave to.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he ends up signing something like 3/66 with a player option in the third year. “You want the player option instead of the team option? Fine, but it’ll cost you $9M over the life of the contract.” I’m betting that an offer of something like that has already been made, and just hasn’t been reported yet.

Anyone hearing Kuminga and draft pick to Cleveland for established center Jarrett Allen. Atkinson was with GS and knows Kuminga well.

Not hearing this at all. As it is, there are far too many complications to make this trade work easily. The Cavs are above the 2nd apron. That hinders their ability to trade.

Xrdta, statsman etc. please correct me if I've gotten this wrong!

I don't think there are any plans to sign Horford to more than the taxpayer MLE. But using the taxpayer MLE hard caps a team at the 2nd apron.

Warriors are currently $17.4 mil under the tax threshold. Could they use the Taxpayer MLE on Horford while under the tax threshold?

I’ve been on the PS5 for a couple of hours. What exciting developments did I miss?

I hope for his sake he doesn't take the QO. Kuminga relies 100% on athletcism, if anything happens he might end up on minimums or camp invites the rest of his career. On the QO nobody is committed to his career and development after this year.

I just don't see how he can take the QO. It is too much money to leave on the table.

Any of the Kuminga apologists still think that he and Aaron Turner negotiated the off-season "brilliantly?" The Dubs have called their bluff at every turn and are now ready to move on without Kuminga altogether.

Blockbuster? That's funny, since nothing has changed. Horford's agent (probably tired of answering questions) told ESPN what everyone knew--Horford is committed to the Warriors. Nothing will be signed until Kuminga is resolved.

Keep telling yourself that. Kuminga's only negotiating chip all off-season was that the Nets would use their remaining salary cap space (now sitting at about $13 million to either sign Kuminga themselves or facilitate another team's signing of Kuminga (for which the Nets would have expected a first round pick). That is all in the past now though. Kuminga and his agent bluffed - and lost. 72 hours from now, the Dubs will have their roster filled out - regardless of whether or not Kuminga is still pouting. This should serve as an important lesson to future young players, not to "pull a Kuminga" when it comes time to negotiate.

Telling myself what? That these headlines about Horford are nothing new? Everyone already knew he was coming to the Warriors and would sign when Kuminga's situation was resolved. When it is, they'll all sign, just like they always were going to. As for the Nets...no idea what you're on about there.

The Nets have been an implied threat all off-season. How could you not know that?

Anyone who headlines this latest from Horford's agent as a "blockbuster" isn't worth listening to. Since the Nets were the only team with cap space all summer, of course some people were going to bring them up. Never mind that they never showed interest in Kuminga.

Even that story you link to includes, "Not that the Nets ever really seemed interested in the Kuminga Sweepstakes..."
