Fat Man wrote:So if Walsh, along with the unprecedented three former GMs/executives on his payroll -- Glen Grunwald (ex-Toronto), John Gabriel (Orlando) and newly hired player personnel director Mark Warkentien (Denver) -- can't manage to put their heads together and get Anthony to New York, that may mean they won't get Paul, either.

And all of it begs the question: How good will you feel about the Knicks then? In the years to come? Especially with Stoudemire averaging 37 minutes per night right now, always trying to do too much simply because he has no choice? No doubt wearing himself down in the process.

Another good tidbit

Not necessarily....
You can take the 3 smartest people in the world to try and convince a child to give up his fruit roll up and i can assure you they won't succeed. Doesn't make their achievements or potential futile; its just that when dealing with children or inexperienced GMs/owners, reason and rationality can be pushed out the door.

The problem I have with articles like SAS's is that they fail to analyze the ENTIRE situation. There are $20 million in savings right now that we are including in this rumored deal and yet not one word about how valuable or irrelevant that is. Now, maybe Denver doesn't care, and if they don't, then great, we pull AR from a deal to Minny and we make it Eddy, Gallo and Chandler to Denver and everyone is happy.

I can't take articles like this seriously that don't analyze the entire situation. He is just a buffoon that happens to be on tv.

GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni sent a subtle message to Knicks fans on Thursday: Stop chanting for Carmelo Anthony; it's affecting my players.

The Knicks coach said the Garden crowd's chants of "We Want Me-Lo" on Wednesday night had a negative impact on some the Knicks during their loss to the Clippers.

"It's not good. There's no doubt about it," D'Antoni said. "It affects some of the players without a doubt."

If trading Felton means we keep Gallo and Fields then sure pull the trigger. Love Felton but I'm not married to him. In the end Billup , while in decline may be better for this team overall.

Then I submit to Mr. D'Antoni: "Stop letting the team get down by 20 pts at home to the Clippers who were 3-18 on the road. It affects most of my sanity without a doubt."

The chants didn't come until the third when the Knicks showed no heart out there. If they wanted to stop the chants, they should've at least played hard. They looked lost out there.

What's D'antoni going to do when they start chantin "We want Sloan"! Quit coaching?

Could the words...."Get. It. Done. Donnie." speak any louder truth than right now?

SAS hit the nail on the head.

Even up, yes. In a crazy package, no. SAS is Isiah's love slave. Neither one has a clue about how you build a franchise - but they sure know how to suck up to NBA celebrities.

Exactly...

And why do some of you continue to follow and overlook it as well? How can you hold a position on a proposed traded when you ignore a key component in the proposed deal?

I'm looking at Denver's gate receipts (34 million) for 40 games and it's making the 23 million in savings look even more attractive.

There is no way Kroenke keeps Melo and turns down the opportunity to save that kind of money...
