Well if we are asking for Gasol and Bynum, doesn't that kill the Paul trade?

If I'm Otis, I'm also asking for Odom and at least 2 1st round picks included. If the Lakers want Howard, they are going to pay for Howard by losing Paul and their entire front court. It is that simple.

10 million isn't going to get Howard in a Lakers uniform and that is a fact. That is all the Lakers could get under the cap if they renounced/traded away every one on their roster but Paul and Kobe.

So is HOU just going to be involved in a trade to ORL too? They are the ones who will get Pau in the CP deal right? Denton just said that's what the FO may want.

All this stuff out, and no decision. It seems like there are a bunch of teams involved in that Paul deal behind the scenes and I don't get it. Why is Houston so eager to get Paul and Howard to LA? It makes no sense. They have something coming that no one sees. And the David West thing is apparently on hold too because of this deal, according to the gen board reports from boston. It's a mess.

How in the blue hell are the doing this?! If the NBA nixed the last trade because people were pissed that L.A were getting Paul and shedding salary, how does Houston picking up most of LAL's tab placate the other owners?
