bring the Battier and Cole play if you want , they were called for an offensive foul ! Not this one

Oh yeah the Heat got all the calls, sorry i keep forgetting

LOL reaching much? Alot of people stick out their elbows on a screen. Sometimes its called a foul and most of the times its not called. Even if it was a foul, its not an ELBOW TO HEAD.

LOL @ people justifying Wade in this thread.

of course you would - it's not even mentioned on national tv.

What does "not mentioned on national tv" have to do with anything? Its not like you can't watch the video and make a judgement. Stop with the red herrings.

Dwyane Wade: Might Be In Line for Suspension

Wade hit Lance Stephenson with a flying elbow in transition during Friday's game, and there's a chance he could receive a suspension for the incident.

Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Exactly. Wade doesn't want to knock knees again. Lance shuffles two steps to the right to set a slick moving screen. Wade jumps and does a little mid air swim move.

Watch the clip again. Lance tries to get in Wade's way, which is cool, if Lance would be set. I see nothing more than Wade trying to avoid a collision so he can get back to his man. Wade is the fastest guy down the court; he races from his own restricted area to the front court.

Non issue.

Besides not like Lance and Wade were barking back and had some personal beef.

Bone head attempt by Wade though.

I just want to say to you, don't be so quick to assume Wade had no intention. This is a guy who has made a acting and fooling the refs a big part of his career. He is a douchebag, but a smart douchebag.

He posted a purely speculative link under the pretense that there was solid info from a credible source.

It would be like me linking a thread to an Inside Hoops post stating, "There's a chance West will be fined for his elbow to Chalmers."

EDIT: Plus the link describes it as a "News Update." Very irresponsible.

Easily worth a suspension. Only q is how many games...prolly 1 like Dwight vs the 76ers
Kobe vs MJ "Clone Wars" NBA.com video:

You're the one speculating. Not that you're alone. There seems to be a lot of that in this thread. Speculating Wade's intentions. Speculating poster's intentions. So on and so forth....

I'm a Bulls fan so obviously I really, really don't like Miami which I've made clear in other threads. That said, I can't seem to care when Indiana players are hit with cheap shots, well-deserved for all their cheap shots the past few postseasons. Should Wade get suspended? Looking at the video it looks to me like Wade is jumping over Stephenson's outstretched leg, it does look like he forearms him in the head though and it looks intentional. My opinion on what happened? Wade thought Stephenson was trying to trip him, jumped over his leg as Stephenson started to sidestep out of Wade's way, Wade took exception and added a forearm. I don't think it's as bad as everyone is saying it is though. Suspension worthy? Maybe. To me it should be a fine/retroactive flagrant.

Yes, we're all speculating. That's part of the fun of being a fan. But I'm not going to post a "news" link that's tantamount to another poster's opinion. We just gotta be more responsible with sources. Cool?

Wade was mad about an earlier play and he was looking to hit someone. He has a history of that.

The big question: Was it intentional?

Some factors to consider: 1.) The Heat have a history with Stephenson, most notably last playoffs with his choking move, and 2.) Wade has a bit of a history with questionable plays.

How will the league view it? A fine? A possible suspension? Or will they see it as inadvertent? Stay tuned.

Last season when Wade gave Collison that cheap shot and the league didn't suspend him, I thought that the Pacers would return the favor and shove Wade while he was running full speed down the court knowing that the league can't suspend them either. But like the league, the Pacers didn't do anything and literally got beaten down.

It doesn't surprise me to see Wade up to his old trick again knowing that not only will the league look the other way, but the Pacers won't do anything either. How many cheap shots are you going to take before doing something about it?

If JR smith got suspended, which I thought was a lot more innocuous than this, then Wade needs to get suspended. Also, Ron got 7 games for his elbow right? In that case, Wade deserves 2 games.
