The guy next to Love in the picture if Jeff Schwartz (his agent).

When this initially came out, I thought Saunders might have encouraged Love to check out Boston in order to get an assurance that he would stick around beyond this upcoming year. Now, I think this is of Schwartz's doing. I'm sure he has some inside knowledge on negotiations and has plenty of contacts with the C's as well. He wants to make sure his client will be happy, and it's also in his benefit to have the Celtics retain as many assets as possible in a trade. They then have more ammo to build around Love.

I feel like Baxter Holmes is really on top of his game this weekend. I never felt like he was this great before, haha.

Loves agent with him is probably a coincidence.

Love also said he planned on talking to fellow UCLA alumnus Bill Walton about what it was like playing for the Celtics.

This is the part of that article that really sticks out to me. I know it's obvious why he was here at this point, but it is nice to see some kind of acknowledgement about "playing for the Celtics". It feels more real.

Being the go to guy on deals like this is what gets guys like Baxter Holmes a reputation. You get enough of a reputation and you get a job at a bigger news outlet.

The Love thread on the GB is hilarious. When this stuff was first posted over there, the thread exploded with condescending comments (many of which were from mods, disappointingly) about how this was just a coincidence and that Celtics fans were making something out of nothing.

Today, those posters have yet to be seen. Dead silent.

Obviously, there's still a lot of work to be done to get Love here. That said...this stuff was definitely something.

Yup.
Red and Russell got it all going,
Hondo and Cowens kept it going,
Larry et al made is sparkle,
and KG and Paul helped it mean something again.
Danny's got a real chance to keep it going.
Ain't no one going to Cleveland or Orlando to check things out and see what it's like to play there.
Ain't no baseball player worth a crap in those cities tweeting those players anything meaningful if they do.
YAY BOSTON.

Yeah, that's the one that sticks out for me, too. That and the one about Rondo.

He really appreciates the best player on the team, his possible teammate and captain and also wants to know what's it like to play for the Celtics.

How would it be? F*ckin' awesome, Love! 8-)

When Love talks to Walton, you just know Walton is going to enthusiastically pour on the poetry about tradition, legacy, the Celtics greats, and bringing in more banners.

Everything about this is going right. Hopefully it stays on course.

It's going to be cruel waiting for any new information about this when Kevin leaves Boston tomorrow.

I just hope this is it. It's almost too good to be true. :/
