Mikal Bridges reminds me of Eddie Jones.

He’d be a good fit for us.

To me he reminds me more and more of Loul Deng.

Their long arms, there average athletic ability, their defensive ability, they kind of glide on the floor due to their lack of explosive athletic ability, they play both sides of the floor and yet they aren't dominate on either end.

I'll put it this way, if we draft outside of the top 3, I'd be totally okay with a Deng type of player to slot into our roster. In his prime, Deng was like perfect super role player and getting a player of his caliber would be a win for this franchise.
Why so serious?

Mikal with a great defensive play to force OT. He is a good option if we we end up closer to pick 10.

He just fits so well between Lauri and Lavine. Doesn’t need the ball. Moves it well. Can shoot and shotmake. Really good wing defender... 1-4.

Otto Porter. Middleton w defense.

Like the Deng comp too.

Ayton is not my number 1 anymore after this. I wouldn't draft him if he was still available when we pick. After experiencing Derrick Rose and his Memphis crap, no thanks to Ayton. The Basketball Gods have a way of ending stuff. Doncic is my number one now.

I just saw the news on TV, so I am late to the party. First thing I said to my son was Miller is done immediately and I bet Ayton declares for the NBA draft before the weekend is over. I bet neither one takes the floor again.

I’m not shocked by this at all. I know it goes on and I hate the NCAA system that causes this. So I don’t hold it against Miller or Ayton. And hell, Miller might even be looking at federal time.

But what I do hate is that only Miller and Pitino so far have been busted when I know without question that every major program does it. Every. Single. One.

K, Izzo, Self, Williams, and many, many, many more. I want them all caught, football too, and the whole damn thing burned to the ground.

Calipari is probably the king of it. Something about that guy seems very shady to me lol

The NCAA sucks though for exploiting these kids making hundreds of millions every season. Serious restructuring needs to be done ASAP. Paid scholarship my @$$. That's a joke.

I'm for the players. To the kids who need money, but have serious mega talent, I go overseas and go play where Doncic is playing. I wouldn't go G-League because the competition and the money are not good enough.

Doncic with a horrible game vs Barcelona. Could not beat anybody off the dribble. Had some nice passes though.

Eh. He's still a kid. He's not a prodigy like LeBron. If he has another bad outing or two like that then I'm worried.

How much money do the professors bring to the school compared to Miller

Why should anything in this NCAA situation influence any players stock? I don't even blame Ayton, the whole system is a joke.

Derrick Rose was the correct pick to make at #1, unfortunately that great era was cut short due to injuries, and at no point did any of Derrick's issues at Memphis have an impact on his career as an NBA player.

If you like a guy at #1 you'd be crazy not to pick him because he got offered money to play at a particular school.

Easy. You didn't read my other post. I support the players and I think the NCAA is a joke for exploiting these kids.

The fact remains. It's still illegal to take that money within the NCAA system. The deed is done. I wouldn't take Ayton. You guys still want him and that's fine with me. More power to you. I mentioned "Basketball Gods." That's fine if you don't believe in Basketball Gods crap, but I do. It's a stain that cannot be removed. Karma. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being offered money, but it was illegal money. Ayton knew it was wrong to take the money, but he took it anyway.

It's really prominent and widespread, I'm sure there's lots of players that have taken money and had really successful NBA careers. So I'm not sure 'basketball gods' holds much weight. But fair enough.

So what if it’s illegal? The NCAA is a joke as you said. You’re going to kill this kid for breaking an unjust law? That doesn’t make sense.

In other news, Trae Young got his swagger back.
