That's a lot of talent to choose from at #36.

i don't see where he is seeing it.

PG13 was pegged as a true swingman. big 2 guard or SF type. Knox is much of a slower plodding SF with the potential to play small ball 4 if he actually learns how to rebound.

But the athleticism/defensive ability in both are huge disparities. Just an idea of PG13 athleticism coming out of school he was pegged that he could defend 1-3...knox really is pegged as someone that can defends 3's and maybe some 4's.

The only comp between there games is both were pretty passive players in college and PG13 did develop a killer instinct over time which I guess Knox can as well. But there actual game and impact on the floor couldn't be anymore different.

He actually has a little Rip Hamilton to his game to be honest.

the knicks are gonna be terrible next year. i rather us get mikal and nas next year insteead of just getting doncic alone. and also keeping frank in the process. giving up the farm for doncic is not worth it. yall actin like doncic is bust proof too. nobody is safe in this draft.

Yeah I got that he's got the tools to be a good defensive player (but locking down a few high-schoolers doesn't guarantee anything). But in this particular video, there wasn't much to suggest that he's a 'damn good scorer'. At least for me.

This narrative that the Knicks tried to win until the bitter end needs to stop.

So they didn't try to win every game? I'm pretty sure they did.

How does a team of professionals try to lose?

You want to be mad at someone, be mad at KP for being too dominant at the beginning of the season.

I never said anything about the players trying to lose and already know that doesn't happen. What i did say was that Perry/Mills could of gone to JH and asked him to play all the young kids down the stretch which not only would help in losing but would of also gave good minutes to the young kids who need minutes to grow their games. I'm not even saying we still wouldn't of won some games with the young kids but it wouldn't of hurt to actually give the young kids plenty of playing time.

Kinda makes the whole idea of a statistical comparison useless doesn't it? Every other model has Knox outside the top 10 because his actual production was trash. I'm sure 100% of models with no scout rankings included would have him completely out the lotto. He's not good at basketball which is the #1 thing you want in an NBA player I'd think.

They also ran an analysis using stats alone, excluding scout rankings. Knox ranked 7th on that one as well. However, the model has a very strong age bias, which clearly boosts Knox's ranking.

Regardless, this analysis could very well still be useless as you said, though a mildly interesting diversion as we await the next rumor.

KP showed in those games that if he can continue to grow into his body and strengthen his core, we are looking at a potential top 5-10 player in the NBA.

Add another top guy to take the pressure having him to be the main man and sole defensive focus for the other team and this team should really take off.

Too much smoke with Memphis and the pick at 4. I think they are going to trade it. The question comes down to, with who? Is a team out there actually willing to take on Parsons AND give up a future 1st round pick?

Don't get me wrong, this was the first time for me even hearing about that guy. I don't have anything against him. It's very possible he's a much better prospect than that video shows. All I'm saying those scrimmage highlights isn't enough data to convince me he's a great scorer.
