Not surprised by his defensive rating unfortunately... I thought we were getting this gun defender but he has been well below expectations so far. Opponents seem to be able to blow right by him or abuse him with his lack of size.

Simmons and Thybulle are our top point of attack defenders. Richardson is okay there, but he's better off as a team defender. Same with Zhaire.

Plus, the added offensive workload sure isn't helping Richardson's defensive output.

I recently read here that ben misses only a few on shoot arounds

The power on Bens shot is off. He is trying to time the release of the ball with the apex of his jump. Trouble is his jump is a quick hop, so timing the release of the ball to coincide with the top of his hop is really hard.

What if I told you that Ben is just keeping the 3 point shot to himself and will unleash it in the playoffs. Imagine the change of gameplan from opposing coaches.

As long as he is shooting those 3s by the Olympics, all good.

This is my POV as well. It will be great when and if he starts to shoot, but right now we have plenty of shooters, and it's Brown's job (hopefully not for long) to fix the rotations and get him on the floor with a group that maximizes what he does well.

Right now, the shooter setting the screen then popping, is enabling him to drive at will and collapse the defense. This action with him and korkmaz has a lot chemistry

Perfect example. Get him on the floor with players and in actions that play to what he does, and quit worrying about what he doesn't do.

Brown needs to work Burks and Robinson into the rotations pronto, as they offer what this team has been crying for. If Neto even sees the floor outside of garbage time I my break my TV, and Scott's time should be reduced as well.

This is only true if you are fine with saying **** Embiid and trading him. Simmons refusal to shoot will always have a huge negative effect on Embiid.

They're not trading either of them, so the solution is what if Simmons isn't shooting? Bitch about how it just can't work or find rotations and actions that might help make it work? That's pretty much the choice right now, and I opt for trying different combinations and finding some that can help both guys.

If we are fine with Simmons not shooting then we are also fine with Embiid not shooting. There has to be ZERO preferential treatment.

And Embiids refusal to fight for deep post position is hurting both the team and Ben. Feel Joel doesn’t get enough criticism especially this season for this and prefers to pretend to be a guard at 3 point line where it’s easier on his body and conditioning.
