Jaden Ivey is the top talent available at four, but you're in another situation (obviously not the exact same) as the 2018 draft with Luka. How does he fit with Fox? Watching how Fox struggled with Haliburton this past season makes it even tougher. Even after considering that, I think I still take Ivey.
Ivey and Keegan Murray are the safest picks, but Sharpe has the highest upside. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Banchero fall, which would complicate things even more.
This team is in the situation it is because of Fox. We passed on Luka because of him. Then we traded Haliburton because Fox had low value and we couldn’t move him. We can’t afford to make any mistakes anymore because of Fox. Take Ivey who is clearly the 4th best player in this draft and don’t think about. If Fox still can’t produce next year then bench his ass.
This is pretty much my approach as well. If Ivey flourishes and Fox declines again, it's time to move on from him. With the Kings moving Haliburton, I'm not so sure the organization will take the same approach.

Indy can
I’d be highly surprised if Ivey is still available at 6

You were going well until Eason at 9

Yeah, I've always been out on Chet. I have yet to see any good NBA prospect coming out of Gonzaga. That program lost me after the Adam Morrison hype. I think Jabari is going to be the best player from this draft.

I could be wrong, but I think they had a pretty good guard come out of there once upon a time....

Definitely saving this post. Could end up being a classic.

pissed on what? orlando and okc deserved the most after missing out last yr and they have drafting well. not to mention magics last number 1 was dwight and oneal they never blew top picks. no need to get greedy after you got a number 1 pick. theres also a chance number 5 pick is best guy someone like ivey i would focus on drafting well.

I have a bigger issue with Sacramento....them jumping us just sucks. I'm also not a fan of how shameful OKC's tank has been the last two years. I take pride that Detroit & Houston have "tanked the right way" these past two years...cant say the same about OKC.

Something tells me the NBA is rewarding them with the #1 pick as well lol, Dame is a hell of a representative
Yeah, NBA doesn't look kindly on unabashedly tanking.... so swing and a miss there.
At least the Kings get their 37th shot to blow a Top 4 pick.

I think we didn't move Fox last year because the only offers on the table for him were bad, which, rightfully so. But if Ivey is the choice, which he 100% should be, and he looks promising, and we are still bad with Fox running the show, we need to trade Fox for ANYTHING. That includes Julius Randle, Luke Kennard/Marcus Morris, or even some trade with the Lakers. We need to get rid of the one common denominator remaining, no matter how hard Vivek tries to push back.
The Kings have only moved up 4 times in 26 attempts but okDTP wrote:RIPskaterdude wrote:Kings hardly ever move up, but okDusterBuster wrote:

They should move down every year until they make the playoffs....they literally pick in the lottery every damn year. If they can't find talent that's on them.
