Of course the Spurs get another generational 7ft.

But hey, #3 gives the Blazers a great asset to work with.

At least the Blazers didn't slip...#3 is more valuable than #5! I had a feeling about San Antonio.

No surprises but there will cries of a fix with Victor going to SA to work with a HOF coach

I'm personally happy picking third. We should be able to get one of Scoot/Miller

I’m aboard the trade bandwagon. Give Dame a real shot!

Miller may go 2.

So trade? :D
I would offer the 3,23 and Anfernee Simons to Toronto for Siakam and 13( and hope Hendricks slides)

I think this is reasonable... but probably a bit too much.
Id rather send Simons to Orlando & just give Toronto extra cap space

So, Houston and Detroit slipped...detroit slipped hard.

Now begins the conjecture, lol. Lamelo and Scoot probably doesn't make sense, so he could fall to the Blazers...which opens up all kinds of possibilities.

I said it before, but Miller could end up being the best player in this draft...it's just impossible to say. One thing for sure, he likely makes Jerami Grant expendable. Or a Lillard/Sharpe/Miller/Grant quartet could be decent as well, if Sharpe continues to get better and Miller plays anything like he did in college.

I actually think LaMelo and scoot could work. LaMelo is tall. And has great outside range. Scoot struggles, for now, at the three, but has great bounce and ability to get to the cup. That'd be a dead backcourt of interchangeable players.

I think we trade this pick. Unless Miller and Scoot blow us away. If they do I think then it might be 50/50 whether Dame is cool with staying around. But I will say a Dame/Sharpe/Miller/Grant/whatever big we get for Simons+Nurk.. that could be intriguing - two years from now.

I'm okay with it. You know. missing by one number.. that hurts a bit. That's a big 'damn' moment. But it is what it is. We moved up two spots, are in a great non-Wemby spot now to decide our future. Let's.. go see what happens.

Yeah, I guess that is true...Lamelo seems to need the ball in his hands though (as he should), and so will Scoot. Could definitely work :dontknow:

And yeah, Blazers could very well trade #3. It really does open up a lot of potential outcomes.

As for the Blazers being 1 ball/number away from #1? I blame the organization not getting Roy involved sooner :lol:

So Portland gets Siakam and 11, Toronto gets 3 and 23 and Orlando gets Simons? Or were you thinking something else?

Orlando:
#11 + cap space => Simons
Talked about a bunch. Fills their need for a scorer.

Toronto:
Siakam + #13 => #3 + #23 + Little
Raptors get a high pick & cap space. They go with a youth movement surrounded by Barnes, OG, & #3

Portland:
Simons + Little + #3 + #23 => Siakam + #11 + #13
Little is included for salary ballast. Portland gets the 'win now' piece & have two later picks for talent acquisition

Ya, Wemby was a dream but all things considered this is a great spot to be in.

Sorta OT but as I read through these prospects its interesting that Brandon Miller is a full year older than Leonard Miller. Brandon has a better 3, but the FT% of Leonard is hopefull (79%) - finding a way to turn #3 into Pascal and the TOR LP then taking Leonard, thats something interesting for me.

Think TOR only has interest in something involving #3 and Pascal if Scoot is there - dont see them going after another F.

I just can't advocate for trading three for Siakam alone. Three+ for Siakam and Og, I can get behind this - that's a crazy long and defensively versatile lineup come the playoffs (Dame/Sharpe/OG/Grant/Siakam). But I can't justify trading three for Siakam alone. It's not enough.
