at the moment orlando is a good team and nothing more. we win the majority of the time and have some dissapointing loses sprinkled about. everything we need to know and improve about this team will be revealed in the playoffs. and the biggest thing for me is seeing what howard does. is he going to be the 15ppg howard or the 25ppg one.

I complain a lot because I simply don't think it's a winning attitude to just sit back and shrug everything off. You get content in this league, you lose. You have to be trying to get better at all times. It's a no excuses game. You can get content and makes excuses if you lose at your local rec center. Not in professional sports.

Even in wins, you can't just forget everything because you won. This team has some horrible habits, despite their good record. Habits are formed in games, win or lose. Those bad habits creep up at any time, and you lose.

dude...your a fan. Nothing you do has any effect on the team....FANS recognizing their fav team is having a good season has no bearing on how the team is going to play. Likewise complaining about crap you have absolutely no control over does nothing as well.

Are you seriously taking offense of people criticizing the team? It doesn't have an effect at all but we're pointing out the crap that we're seeing..are we suppose to watch the game and not post anything? Are we supposed to sit there and appreciate them? I don't get what you're saying. I doubt anybody is losing sleep over them, it's just minor crap that has to stop if tehy want to be a good team.

taking offense? wtf are you talknig about. I was referring to the constant complaining that every1 will "help the team." No1 is against pointing out flaws in your fav teams game. But pity party statements like, "now were are going on a 4 game losing streak," Or Keith Bogans is and idiot and sucks." How is that helpful in anyway?

Edit: Plus, its comforting to see Cleveland get beat by the bucks

Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

we really need an athletic freak off the bench or a hard nosed box out rebounder, one of these new wave PF's like Bass and Craig Smith...we have to increase our offensive rebounds...

I think you'll see half-way between those and about 21ppg, depending on the matchup, but I'd LOVE to see him explode - and it could happen if the PGs take care of the ball and the shooters are hot.

9 out of 20 isn't bad for a perimeter-based rookie. They are both excellent talents.
I think Durant will be MUCH better next year. (But his team won't make a huge leap yet.)

i've almost considered trading Dwight this week in my fantasy league...but the rebounds have been somewhat helpful...but the blocks, turnovers and points are killing me...i had an offer for Gasol and Jefferson but I decided to hold off and now Gasol is on his way back and Jefferson is killing it...

damn you dwight...get it together you punk...

The reality here for several years is that the Magic match up poorly against the Hawks.

Of all the possible #6 opponents, Atlanta must spook the Magic the most. Hopefully that team does not get on to much of a roll in climbing the playoff ladder.

I think the Magic would handle the Hawks in the postseason. It's just an entirely different game, and better teams almost always prevail.

Of course, the Warriors of last year would beg to differ. However, they are the exception that proves there's a rule...

Atlanta needs this game, and played horribly against the Magic last week.....the revenge factor is in play along with the "I had an effortless cakewalk" last night.

Magic 95
Atlanta 103

Hope I'm wrong.

Dang, I hate it when I'm right.

What's not to get? His defense is awful. He's by far the worst defender in our lineup. He's slow laterally and short. He does try i guess but that is only going to get him so far.

IMO meer is the worst defensive starting PG in the league. And the sad thing is he is the only PG on our roster that even merits getting starting consideration.

Didn't watch a second of this game, but you know it's bad when Adonal is the only player with a positive +/- at +1.

Looking at the box score:
Looks like Rashard is hitting a slump, and Dwight didn't get the ball much (hopefully he tried to play defense, but I doubt he did based on past games).
Kebo and Kedo shot atrociously (Kebo 1 of 8 3-point shooting).
Cookie is shooting cold, so Pat may need to take his minutes soon.
Joe Johnson owned us yet again, go figure.

Two bad efforts in one week should have SVG steaming pissed. The good news though is that we face the Spurs Tuesday. So win that, and it helps erase these efforts.
It's obvious to me now that we are indeed cruising in most of these games, but as long as it doesn't cost us the 3rd seed (which it won't), I'm ok with it. Simply because for the most part our team has stayed healthy and I don't think our guys want to change that.
Plus, it's fun playing possum late in a season and then push down on the pedal come playoff time.
