It sounds like Billy King is getting antsy and pressuring Ujiri to take on whoever just to make the salaries match and get the deal done with.Knicks1214 wrote:WojYahooNBA Adrian WojnarowskiNuggets official insists they never agreed to deal pending NJ-DET arrangement for Petro. That doesn't change the fact that the only purpose of making a post like you did is to troll/incite people.

Why wouldn't Melo be grandfathered into the new CBA? Does everyone really think that Stern would let players that had max contracts end a year earlier get a contract that another max contract player (Melo - #s wise at least) would not be able to get? There was an article on Realgm a few months ago that said players have been grandfathered in to new CBAs in the NBA in the past. He's going to get his money either way IMO...

On Billups. His career is winding down...he has made a crap load of money throughout his career. I know that nobody here would turn down that much money, but we are not in his position. He wants another championship...again, I don't see why people think that this is out of the question.

No need for these types of posts. It's a CLEAR attempt at baiting AND trolling. Consider this a warning.

We're 21-14 with cap space in the summer, and already have 3 good options at SF with Gallo, Chandler, and Fields.
Melo is a luxury, but it ain't the end of the world for Knick fans if we don't get him.

I don't know that writer, but in the last CBA the lenght of max contracts was reduced 1 year and there was no grandfathering whatsoever.
Anyway, do you think teams would be this advanced in discussions if they didn't have Melo's nod? They wouldn't, it'd be a waste of time. The deal may not get done because, as I told you some weeks ago, Denver has no hurry to get a deal done, their position gets better every day. But it's obvious by now that Melo is agreeable towards an extend'n'trade if it means he goes to Brooklyn.
I don't really know what to say about Billups. He wont' leave $15 millions on the table because he wants another championship.

Report the posts and they will get handled. Some posts have been handled in the interim as an FYIincontrol__ wrote:Flash3 wrote:incontrol__ wrote:Knicks fans are getting worried...

Fine. Fair enough.
Hope you hand out warnings to all the people absolutely trashing the Nets and constantly popping up in these threads and (irrationally, and irrelevantly) trashing them.. Not cool, IMO.
