Tanking, no Rose next season so what's the point of them trying to win?

yep. which is why there's no better year for us to do this then next. the only real contender is miami.

We don't really know if we're not there. In fact, it's very difficult to say what's going on from a distance.

However, the thing that the Rockets fan posted -- about how Morey duped us into believing the offer was low and then we added contracts and they pumped up the offer -- it does seem to add up.

If so, how could the Knicks do that? It's like amateur hour. You have to pay attention to details and make sure things are official. Just crazy that we could lose Lin over that kind of trickery.

Every reason to believe that the Knicks will match at the last moment just to get revenge on the Rockets. I mean I can hope right?

Hate to say it, but Isiah still has influence in the front office and we all know how smart he is.

Maybe Dolan has a bigger grudge against Houston than he does against Lin. We can hope.

I just can't see this being a money issue.

If we don't match, I think its because people in the organization don't want Lin back or think Felton/Kidd are better.

Grunwald should be fired if that's the case. Completely erases every good thing he's done prior to that.

Isiah is a star-phucker. And Lin is the biggest mega star in the basketball world not named Lebron or Kobe.

Maybe that bodes well for us.

Not only that, but the Rockets actually did a deal with us to add to our salary, then raised the offer.

It's probably frowned upon in NBA circles. Teams don't try to screw each other in broad daylight like that.

If the Knicks don't match, it's not because of money.

Hard to believe there isn't some racial aspect at least to the way teammates have been acting. The only Asian player in the league, and this is the guy who has teammates talking negatively about his contract. That's unheard of - it just isn't done. Still boggles my mind that Smith and Anthony went public with that stuff.

I thought in Thread #2 you said you had enough and wouldn't be following the team anymore? Why are you still posting :-(

the knicks can't win with carmelo being the guy, yet he's making it seem as if he's saying jeremy is the guy that will take the knicks to a championship.

Smart enough to give large contracts based on small sample sizes? Isn't that exactly what bringing Lin back would be?
