This is what i've been saying as well and is why i was happy to hear L.Rose say that fans will need to be patient. That tells me he doesn't plan on going out year one and trading all our assets we have in draft picks and the limited young players for whatever veteran players he can get like some on here are convinced he's gonna do.
Keep drafting the best talent available in the drafts and hope we get some damn luck and hit big with a couple of them. Get some people in here that will focus on development of the young players. At some point maybe a couple of stars ask to be traded from their teams or teams are ready to move on from their star players cause it isn't working or whatever the case, then we'll have the young talent and draft picks to trade for those players, but we need to just keep building through the draft and only give out short contracts to young players until that point comes or until there's a strong free agent class.
Patience will be the key to getting this right.
This line from his letter scares me
“We will develop a plan that makes sense, both to jumpstart our short-term growth and ensure our long-term success”
It sounds like add more vets and draft young kids. Exactly what we have been doing. Starting to think not much is going to change.

I don't mind us signing vets as long as they do it like we did this year and only sign them to 1-2 year deals so we'll still have cap space available every offseason and most of the time the vets you sign to 1-2 year deals can be traded around the deadline like we did with Morris to bring more draft picks to this team.
Most of the time? What are you talking about? There's been 1 player that the Knicks have traded in past 2 deadlines, 1...
Signing reclamation projects is such an idiotic idea and only something the Knicks would do.
