As such, no player will "get paid". I expect the Magic to see Fournier re-up, and that will be basically the end of the FA process. Enniss also could re-up for the same reasons.

Yes Gordon could be traded for a matched-salary. And yes the Magic will need to find replacements for Augustin, Iwundu, and Carter- Williams, but even there, trading Gordon for Schröder and a 2021 1st round draft pick (as rumored) coupled to just resigning Carter-Williams, the Magic roster is basically set.

I would not be surprised to see a roster with a start like this next season.
Fultz/Schröder/Carter-Williams
Fournier/Ross/Ennis
Isaac/Okeke/LLE vet
Aminu/rookie selection/LLE vet
Vučević/Bamba/Birch

If we are trying to save money and just traded AG for Schroder+1st, I don't think we will re-sign MCW, it would be way better financially to just sign some 3rd string player or a 2nd round pick.

If Carter-Williams would sign at a vet-min deal, then there is no reason to not resign him. Short of a undrafted rookie, all min-vet deals have the same cap consequence with considering actual pay.

Now: if Carter-Williams believes he has created capacity for a medium level exemption contract, he is gone. No way does the Magic sign him for a 4-8M a year deal. NONE!

If not Coronavirus, I'd say he would get at least 6M/2 years deal from a team (same as Birch's current deal), but nowadays I don't know anything anymore.

First 2 episodes of The Last Dance were great, and those are considered the 'summary' episodes for those who are not knowledgable of MJ or these Bulls.

‘Magical Movies’ is back with an emotional 96-94 win for the Orlando Magic at home inside the O-rena over the Los Angeles Lakers on February 22, 1998. Nick Anderson drops a game-high 30 points, the game-winning 3-pointer, shows off his Merton Hanks duck walk, and gets a small dose of revenge against Shaquille O’Neal. Derek Harper, Bo Outlaw, Danny Schayes, Horace Grant, and Derek Strong bring the support. This is Shaq’s first game in Orlando as a Laker after departing the franchise in 1996. Shaq has a quiet 20 points and 10 rebounds. Young Kobe Bryant provides 18 points off their bench.

Sorry if people have been talking about this since I haven't read this thread in awhile. But is JI healthy or progressing well? Does anyone know about it? Because it feels like radio silence when it comes to him from the Organization. Hoping he can come back when/if the season restarts.

That was my plan but, apparently, not available in US (without $$$) until June. I guess I’ll stay up late on Sunday. I caught episode 1 but didn’t realize there were 2 a night.

Correct me if I’m wrong about streaming access

I was not a fan of MJ in those days, especially for that last run, but this documentary shed some light on struggles I wasn't aware of then, which brings new level of admiration I have for him today.

It's become the new weekly watching for me and my mates. It's nice to have something we all watch around the same time and discuss each week. Like GOT last year. I miss 'event TV' now that everything is streaming in demand.

If you have Cable/Sat service you should have access to watch it online with your providers login info (something you setup on your providers website), here is the link to the page https://www.espn.com/watch/

You can watch on their app as well(with the same login credentials).

Use a VPN and access Netflix through Australia. It's released weekly on that for us.

Our Florida NFL teams- TUA is on the Dolphins, CJ Henderson went to the Jaguars and the Buccaneers drafted some offensive lineman with the last name Wirfs to help protect Tom Brady. This is just after the 1st round.

Thought all of the FL teams 1st picks were great. I love Wirfs on the Buccs he was my favorite tackle in the draft. Henderson was the 1B corner (to Okudah 1A), and the Fins didn’t ruin their tank after all.

At least it works out for some Florida teams.

I would love to see the Bucs grab Cam Akers tonight. They need an upgrade at RB and are otherwise clearly intending on upgrading the OL. I’m interested in seeing what he can do when he has a real O-Line, a real QB and weapons on the perimeter to spread the field. FSU has little to none of that and he still produced greatly.

Honestly, I am worried about 2 years from now. We need to take a QB for the future to learn under Brady for the next 2 years. I was hoping it was true Tua was dropping down the draft boards (it wasn't) because him learning from Tom Brady while recovering from his injury could have been a Disney story in the making.

They lured Brady to Tampa with a WIN NOW pitch. That doesn’t involve spending top picks on a QBoftF.

They are pushing all their chips in for a Super Bowl this year and / or next. If that leads to a full blown rebuild period afterword then that is the price they are willing to pay it seems.

— or perhaps they take a swing on trading a late round pick for someone like Josh Rosen?

Outside of Brady, we are one of the younger teams in the league. Those guys are all going to still be playing at a high level/entering their prime in two years.

Entering their prime” <—— key phrase

This isn’t the NBA. In the NFL the cap game is every bit as (if not sometimes more) important than the game on the field. You often times see stars outright cut.

In 2013 the Tampa Bay Bucs currently have Mike Evans, Ali Marpet, Cameron Brate and Devin White signed. #TheEnd.

The Bucs roster in 2-3 years will look nothing like what it looks like today. You’re not going to be able to or even want to resign many of those guys. But that is true for every single team in the NFL.

The NFL is about paying your QB, a handful of select studs and then rotating your roster every year through the draft.
