I’d be really surprised if Baynes goes for that cheap, he’s just a damn solid player. He might not be a sim beast, but he’s definitely a starting big man.

Point Guard and Center are the deepest free agent crops. I am coming out with a team profile during the week of free agency that will outline depth charts for every team and players they likely pursue given there cap space and roster slots. Already done the Eastern Conference and many teams will be tight for space and roster slots after the draft, some will even have to make deals or cut players to accommodate first round picks

But i should add though they are deep they are only a couple that are rated 3 star or higher. So if you want a productive player it will be slim pickings especially if that 3 star player is the only player a team has with bird rights, odds are they re-sign them by going over the cap as they have no other cap-space.

There are a lot of quality forwards too. Covington, Gallo, Mook, Grant, Barnes, Draymond, Tucker, Bjelica, Brooks, Gay, Portis, Carmelo, Ariza, Thad, Marvin, Snail, etc.

Almost every position is stacked full of quality free agents (wings too). There will definitely be some $5-Below bargains.

only houston and your team hoff has "free cash" to spend (assuming you are abandoning Siakam)
you act like there is cash all over- all of the other teams that have significant cash - have to deal with their free agents...

the problem is that a lot of those free agent are held by bird rights with contenders who dont have other major free agents and have limited cap-space to pursue other players. So for the most part many teams will likely re-sign there own players by going over the cap and giving massive 1 year deals to mediocre players, therefore not impacting there cap space in future years and keeping an asset for there team or to trade mid year. For instance Miami and Rozier. Miami will have hardly any cap space after the draft and have rozier with bird rights, why would they let him walk for nothing when they could just give him a one year balloon offer especially since they are a contending team with Harden. highly unlikely any team with capspace will pursue Rozier on a multi year deal

He's probably the best out of that list, though I'm sure some might argue that Kleber/Biyombo would be better suited to their team.

you are forgetting about teams going over the cap and offer 1 year balloon offers since the player they have with bird rights is better than any player they could pursue with the 10 to 20 bucks they have in cap space

Hell no! He has had one breakout year IRL and in the SIM he has been a non-factor. Look at his age. By the time the SIM catches up to that one good year he has had IRL, he will be one step closer to the end of his career. Dude will be 34 years old in couple months.
