I am surprised he got even drafted!
His numbers are good this year, but you'll need some serious lobbying to the panel to get a positive feedback on him during the games

Not sure what you mean. What sort of lobbying will Kevin Love need that someone like Richaun Holmes or PJ Tucker won't?

With the 75th pick, the Rethymno Cretan Kings select Luka's new PnR sidekick: Clint Capela

We already know for a fact Capela excels at setting up dominant PnR ball handlers after having served as the running mate of Harden and Trae Young. I reckon he's a perfect fit next to Luka! To a lesser extent, the same goes for Hayward who can also run the PnR. Good luck trying to stop the Luka-Capela PnR!
PG: Luka
SG: Brown
SF: Hayward
PF: Anunoby
C: Capela
You are on the clock.

- He's an elite rebounder. Ranks 3rd in the NBA in TRB and TRB%. Led the league in pretty much every single rebounding stat last season (TRB, ORB%, DRB%, TRB%)
- He's a terrific rim protector. Ranks 10th in the NBA in blocks per game with 1.6. For reference purposes, Giannis averages the exact same number of blocks. They also share an identical BLK% (4.8 each).
- He can play D on the perimeter. He contests 2.8 threes per game which is nothing to sneeze at. For reference purposes, Bam contests 2.9 threes.
- He's a great roller in the PnR thanks to his length and athleticism. Scores 1.28 PPP when rolling to the basket.
- Most importantly, he's an elite screener. Ranks 4th in the NBA in screen assists per game.

Because he's the kind of guy the league is going away from from: a big guy who can't guard the perimeter and can't protect the rim playing center. You have to be an offensive superstar to get away with that.
Tucker has a clear and central role in a contending team, Love? he's going to be put in a pnr where he can't switch or drop.
plus he has some heavy baggage from the last few seasons, that I am not sure the start of the season had ironed them out in the mind of the voters.
Just telling you the voters will likely have in mind the fact he's been kicked out from team USA a few months ago, for instance... so be prepared!

So you're saying he has weaknesses like the other players who have been picked. Ok I guess.

Maybe not the flashiest name but I'm going with somebody who does precisely what I want from my starting SG. He's a positive defender (which means no defensive liability in my starting line-up) and shoots 45% from 3 on 6 attempts per game.
With my fifth selection, I choose Luke Kennard

Not exactly sure why Holmes is on here for this example... he has elite touch around the rim (second in the league in TS% at the moment), rebounds well, and is at the very least a good defender. Plus he is working here with Chris Paul, and the PNR here can be genuinely lethal (along with his running mate in De'Aaron Fox). He doesn't do the same things as Love does now, so it just feels weird to be comparing the two (and PJ Tucker to an extent).

I think Capela has regressed this season, which may have caused the drop in where he normally would go. I do love that Luka/Clint PNR though, that will be fun!

Wasn't trying to say anything negative about Holmes or Tucker. It wasn't a comparison as much as it was just highlighting the tier of player we're talking about. I could've used McCollum too. They all do different things and obviously their teammates were considered when making the pick, just like you've explained with Holmes.
