Happy to see Dipo continue to play mins & be healthy....also happy to see Spo not play him today.

Dipo has declined since his highly anticipated return. Understandably, he is doubting his body, second guessing what his capable of. A lot of hesitancy. This hesitation, reluctance gets him turning the ball over & making dumb decisions - a detriment to the team. To be fair the team wasn't exactly playing well as a whole. Dipo added to it.

He can help this team the moment he isn't afraid to be aggressive & trust his body. The question is when. I don't see that this season. Hope he proves me wrong.

He brings way more than Duncan
He brought nothing but yall celebrating his presence.

The impact was there and he’s just a far more complete player than Duncan. Doesn’t just set his feet and shoot. Duncan looked comfortable off the bench. I don’t see what there’s to complain about. Duncan has sucked all year, maybe he’ll be better off the bench. Strus has been great as a starter

Here's some highlights from tonight's game showcasing Strus' versatility. It's not much, but it shows things that Duncan has never shown.

Also, I freeze framed a play that frustrated me. I wish our coaches would tell our guards to stop being so selfish and look for our bigs, but I get the feeling that they're also part of the problem.

All of that improves with reps and chemistry. No biggie.

One last things: Spo really loves his DHOs. A good chunk of Strus' shots were DHOs and he bricked most (if not all) of them.

Somebody needs to have a talk with him and tell him that 3pt specialists are not the catalyst to an offense.

Taking 40 3pters a game does not sound like a good playoff plan but a win is a win I guess.

Yeah, but they shot 3x more FTAs than us while only taking 5 less 3PTAs, so f em and f the NBA.

You prolly couldn’t duplicate that in out dribble foul line floater from Tyler on a video game. Too pretty.

I get that Spo probably doesn't trust Yurt defensively yet, but when you know that you have a guy on the bench that's a sure thing in the rebounding department, why not play him when you've been getting creamed on the glass? Not saying you gotta play him big minutes every night, but not even considering it is just puzzling to me.

Thats the role of his position.
In the scheme his role is to shoot threes. That is why I keep telling you all are wasting time talking about Strus can do other things when that role gives very little oppurtunities to do other thangs on offense besides shooting 3s.

He did other things though lol. Cut back door and caught an oop for a dunk, we haven’t seen that from Duncan at any point in his career. He attacks off the dribble etc. he’s just a far better we’ll rounded player

And Robinson never cut back door for a layup? Or he got cool points that he dunked it? One back door wide up layup is not a differene maker in his role. I see yall showing Strus do one drive and kick as if Duncan never do one drive and kick to the corner. CMon

Duncan does one drive and kick almost every game. But as it will be with Strus, majority of positions will be three point shots. Because that is the role.

Strus does a drive and kick and you are telling me its some amazing feet that Duncan never does??

The role does not put Strus and Robinson to be a drive and kick player. Because like you see in this clip, who will Robinson or Strus drive and kick to, Butler? Robinson and Strus are the players you want to kick it too. They are the three point shooters you want taking open three point shots.

There are other ways to get 3pters besides DHOs.

C'mon man, stop baiting me these emoji-filled low-efforts posts. You're better than that.

Yes there are other ways in general to got open threes. But you have to look at the personal of this team. You want this team to be a drive and kick team? That is not this teams make up. Jimmy, Bam and Lowry are not pick n roll or drive and kick players. Herro may be the only player who is more fitted as a pick n roll drive and kick player on this team. This is not a team made up of Dragic, Waiters, and James Johnson who thrived at drive and kicking out. Lowry, Bam and Butler are the distributors of this team. Lowry has never been a drive and kick dominate passer. He has always been a halfcourt post passing point guard. Lowry has never been a pressure pressure the rim off the dribble from the top of the key player. He has been a director of offense of cuts and post players.

Sorry if emoji's are a trigger for you
