GM and coach are in disagreement, that means you should pick one and fire the other one. Firing both doesnt make any sense. Kroenkes are cheap **** and Nuggets problems are on them(and Calvin ofc). It's wild watching Jokic doing the thing his detractors have been clamoring for him to do for a while now (not you, scrab, obviously), taking over as a scorer, and seeing how little that impacts the team's ability to win because of how the other guys impact winning. It's frustrating. Kinda reminds me of early Jordan in a way. There is a limit to what an individual can do. Jokic is doing it, but he needs his guys to do more than they are managing right now, and that's the limitation.

Jokic is doing it all OFFENSIVELY.

DEFENSIVELY though? His team has been covering for him for years.

If Jokic was this good offensively AND covered the Nuggets lack of perimeter defense by protecting the rim he would be the unquestionable GOAT! Good riddance to both of them. Booth was a joke that dig the Nuggets into a deep hole and Malone was just a hype guy riding Jokics coattails.
The owners must have heard that they could miss the playoff while being in the luxury tax with the 7th most expensive team in the NBA and a top 15 player ever putting up historic stats. I hope that Jokic asking for a trade ignited all of this.

Now trade Jokic so we can appreciate what he can do in a competitive environment.

Wow. NBA owners are insane nowadays(and yet Donovan and Rivers/Horst still have jobs). Who would've thought that winning an NBA title(first for some of these franchises) doesnt gurantee you any job security whatsoever. Thats now 3 or 4 coaches who've been let go in less than 3 yrs after winning titles(Lue, Vogel, Budz, and Nurse).

I'm going to go out on a real shaky limb and say that Durant ends up on the Nuggets next year. Something has the Nuggets spooked about Jokic potentially getting frustrated so I could see them going all in not to waste anymore of his time. And with both Malone and Booth gone, no one outside of Jokic is safe. I think they'll try to move Murray/MPJ asap to potentially get Durant. All KD has to do is say he wants to go play with Jokic and it'll happen

I know that Durant's not worth what he used to be and he's not going to command some huge haul, but please show me any remotely reasonable deal the Nuggets can make to trade for KD. They have one first rounder to trade, a bunch of bad salaries, and both teams are potentially dealing with apron restrictions. Also, the Nuggets are incredibly thin so packaging multiple rotation pieces isn't going to be great for them either.
