How can you figure out which switch turns on the light bulb?

2) What number comes next in this sequence: 10, 9, 60, 90, 70, 66…?

Spoiler:
for number 2, I am likely wrong, but going off of prime numbers and patters i got 156 (primes go 2, 3, 5, 7, 11 and the pattern goes 5, 3, 8, 10, 6) so I followed with prime of 13 * 16

He started playing the drums at the tenth block. He got "kicked off", meaning he started doing something. In his case it was playing the drum he bought.

A man had a dollar.

He spent 80 cents for a drum and 10 cents for 2 drumsticks.

He gave a streetcar driver a dime to drive him 13 blocks.

On the tenth block they kicked him out. Why?

Hint: I tell you the answer every time I say the riddle.

Question on this: Who is they? I'd bet the answer is somewhere in that. If he gave the DRIVER a dime... who is the THEY that kicked him out?

I'm fairly certain I got it! WHEWWWWWWWW

On the tenth block, They kicked him out. Him, being the name of a song!

Let's reword that:

On the tenth block, They (being the man, the drum and the drum sticks) kicked/began to play (Slang To throw out) him - really Him. (Him is the name of a song!!!!)

Why? Because he wanted to play music. All of the other stuff is basically TOO MUCH INFO, designed to confuse one.

Four men were in a boat on the lake. The boat turns over, and all four men sink to the bottom of the lake, yet not a single man got wet! Why?

Spoiler:
-Turn switch 1 on and leave it on for an hour.
-Turn switch 1 off and switch 2 on and go inside.

If its dark, but the bulb is warm then its switch 1.
If its light its switch 2.
If neither, then its switch 3.

(works for a bulb, but not LED)

Yeah you got it!

One 1), it doesn't say you can't open the door, just that you can't enter? Haven't worked on 2) yet.

The door is locked until you decide to go in. Once you decide to go in, you can only go in the room once. So once you're in the room you need to figure out which switch turns on the light before leaving the room.

I should add damaging or disassembling the door, walls, or switches is against the rules.

And you can't leave two lights on, open the door, switch one off and then go inside? No switches after the door opens and before you go inside?

That would solve it but seems like you cannot change any switches before going inside?

Spoiler:
Nah once you open the door you can't touch the switches again. You have to go inside. You mentioned two switches. That's on the right track to solving the riddle.

I'll give you a hint. There's actually multiple answers to this question. But 156 isn't one of them. Gotta think outside the box for this one.

Spoiler:
I gave up and looked it up online last night -- answer below. But I think the explanation, while it would produce the correct result, has one strange thing: Why do you have to turn two switches on at first? Couldn't you turn just the first switch on, leave it on for 10 minutes, shut that first switch off, and then turn a second switch and go in the room? If the light is on, it's the second switch. If it's off and the bulb is hot, then it's the first switch. If it's off and the bulb is cold, it's the third switch. I don't see the need to turn the two switches on at first. You're going to be able to do it with just the first switch on for 10 minutes.

Turn two switches ON, and leave one switch OFF. Wait 10 minutes. Then shut one of the ON switches OFF. One switch is ON and two are now OFF. Immediately go into the room. If the light is on, you know it's the switch that is still ON. If the light is off, feel the light bulb. If the bulb is cold, it's the light switch that you never turned ON. If the bulb is still warm but the light is off, it's the switch you turned ON but then turned OFF prior to entering the room.

Yeah that would work too. When I first did the riddle that was my answer which was similar to Deeeez Knicks:

-Turn switch 1 on and leave it on for an hour.
-Turn switch 1 off and switch 2 on and go inside.

If its dark, but the bulb is warm then its switch 1.
If its light its switch 2.
If neither, then its switch 3.

Ah. This is an easy one. I giggled at the one:

"A man had a dollar. He spent 80 cents for a drum and 10 cents for 2 drumsticks. He gave a streetcar driver a dime to drive him 13 blocks. On the tenth block they kicked him out. Why?"

Why did they kick him out? The answer is in the question, duh. They kicked him because they wanted him to be out of the car.

With that original riddle tenth street is the stop so much like Manhattan I would assume that blocks before numbers have regular street names. Could it be he got on 13 blocks away but the numbered streets don't start until block 4? Meaning he would have went the 13 blocks saying the first 3 were just not numbered. That's the best I could come up with. Or "in the riddle" is the real clue. He never says the answer is in what I typed or what I said he clearly repeats "in the riddle".
