What do you mean by this? If you attach picks to Kuminga you don't think he can bring back someone better?

I don't think there are many players at his salary that will be as good as him.

And even if he did but the relationship is totally out the window, and he wants out no matter what, what will they do. Tie him up to the chair?
That is why the dubs did what they did, precisely protecting themselves against such scenario. He balls out and wants to stay, fine. The team will pick up the option for next year and go from there. He remains as non-fit or balls out and insist on leaving no matter what, he now has much more value to bring the very adequate replacement.

Like who?

Most players at his salary are better than him, whether they are available or not and the price is a different story.

Certainly Murphy, brooks and Wiggins are way better basketball players and obviously better fits skill wise though chemistry could be an issue with brooks.

Take a look at the players ranked 70-90 in contract value (kuminga’s range) I’d say I would take him over 5 out of 20 but really age has a lot to do with it (smart, Vuc etc)

I'm not sure the Warriors can currently take back more money than they are sending out for a player like Murphy but I guess they can still waive TJD?

I would take JK over most of the players in that range but I'm a fan of his unlike most here.

I am coming around on your viewpoint. I wasn’t following this closely and thought he and his agent were over valuing him in terms of what he is worth to the current Warriors, but if he wants to go to a better situation for him that is quite understandable. He wasn’t drafted to meet the current needs of this team/to be a support player in the dying days of a dynastic team.

I don’t think you could say Kerr or kuminga are wrong for what they want.

But my point will always be that kuminga has had ample opportunity to do + stuff on the floor and he’s failed. If he’s not shooting well which is more often not the case then he’s a negative.

But if he can minimum play good defense, grab 5-7 boards and 3-5 assists per game then great, he would have earned more playing time and a better contract.

That doesn’t seem like a high bar for the contract he is on.

You’re entitled to your opinion.

Seems to me based more on potential which is fair enough rather than what we have consistently seen on the court.
