He would be a nice player to have, unfortunately we don't have anyone to trade for him that would make much sense. He is an extremely talented player, but as far as desire/team cohesion goes he's an enigma. He would be a low-risk gamble if we had the option of dumping an expiring for him as part of a package or w/e (if nothing big comes of our TPE). DeRozan is too big of a price to pay.

I'm moving this thread to the trade board where trade talk is encouraged.

I squandered an asset? Then Hammond taught me well.

I'm pretty sure the Giants would trade DeRosa if they could.

Ok I get that the salaries don't match... But I'm talking talent for talent. CDR brings more of what the Raptors need (have always needed), and that<s a guy who can create his own shot.

Furthermore, he's good on D.

Some of y'all said you would do DeRozan for Iggy... But those two are the same!!! CDR will become more of an Hamilton, or Maggette or Arenas, whereas DeRozan will be Iggy or McGrady (maybe)

Btw, my nickname is an oxymoron.

DeRozan isn't that good.

Sure he has more value than CDR but the Toronto fans are all acting like DD is the next Kobe.

CDR is good on D? Really? I'm in the NY area so I did get the chance to see quite a few Net games (broadcast regularly in the NYC area) and he's a very crafty offensive player (getting and making shots that you can't figure out how anyone can make) but he's not even an average defensive player.

The chances of either CDR or DeRozan becoming any of those guys you mentioned are about as good as the chances of the Raptors winning the NBA title this year. But if DeRozan is basically Iggy or McGrady (and I'm assuming you mean the prime time one and not the old broken down one) you'd be crazy to trade him for CDR (who lacks Hamilton's smarts, Maggettes size/strength/athleticism or Arenas ball skills and speed).

Toronto laughes at this deal, we are not moving DeRozan for CDR. The most I would give is some of the TPE for him or to swap Calderon for John Salmons

CDR for DeRozan? Is this a serious idea?

CDR is a good scorer and that's it. Some quotes he had with the Nets last year were especially telling though, strictly speaking CDR is a stats guy.

If he gets his stats he's happy, if he doesn't he's mad.

Derozan is clearly the better player and it's not even close imo.Horendous trade for Raptors.
