VC and Brand swap???

I'd do VC, Pietrus, Warrick for Iggy and Brand in a second...

Long, pretty good defender, and has great potential that never materialized in Phoenix .Remember, he was taken 14th and a lot of people thought he was a steal. Anyways, with playing time and perhaps under a new system, he'll get more minutes. He's best when he drives instead of settling for jumpshots

I think we have to throw in ORL pick to even make them consider about it.

Seth Pollack wrote:The deal would radically remake the Suns roster in the middle of the season for the third time in four seasons. For a team that revolves around Steve Nash who values stability and consistency in his relationships on and off the court, it is hard to have a positive reaction to the move.

The portion that makes sense for the Suns is swapping Hedo Turkoglu for Marcin Gortat but it says a lot about the thought process and decision-making that they would be desperate enough to move Hedo that they are willing to take on Vince Carter in place of Jason Richardson. It's both an admission of mistake on the initial Hedo decision but also a potentially devastating blow to the rest of this season.

Jason Richardson is a perfect fit at the two guard next to Steve Nash -- at least on the offensive end of the floor -- but it took a full season to get there. Replacing him with Vince Carter now will be a huge set-back to the flow of the offense and provide no upgrade defensively.
....
Nash and Carter once again gives the Suns a player (Carter) who's (liike Hedo) is most effective with the ball in his hands and we've already seen that Nash isn't willing to relinquish that control. If Carter didn't fit with Jameer Nelson, he's not going to fit with Steve Nash.

The real question now, assuming this deal happens as reported, is what if anything this means for Nash and possibility of moving him. With the team hovering around .500 and seeing yet another teammate get moved, you can easily envision a frustrated Steve asking to be dealt. Certainly a late first round pick and some cash isn't going to placate Nash.

There are some who've called for the Phoenix Suns to admit their window has closed and to being the rebuilding process immediately. This could very well be the first step. What to watch for next is the reaction from Nash and any signs that the Suns might want to flip Carter's expiring contract for some other better fitting pieces.

Great trade for us. Puts us back in contention.

Additionally, got rid of Clark after all this time. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

As soon as Nash feeds Vince Carter a no look pass that hits him in the forehead, he'll hit the ground and lay there for about 15 minutes.

Philly fan here.. No way we would give Dre and Brand for Warrick (too long contract), Carter (Ok because we can buy him out), and Pietrus (could be nice addition)..

We would be stacked at SG positions, and Evan Turner must play.. Also, we give up to much value, and get almost no value (for future) in return..

Lol @ the thought of Nash being traded. He'll retire a Sun. He's still a top 3 PG in the NBA, and mentoring Dragic, our future PG.

Magic fans don't want Arenas... Magic players don't want Vince... Otis trying for J Rich and Hedo first.

That was tough to read rsavaj. But most of it was true. I gotta think Carter and the pick will be packaged its the only thing that really makes us better and makes sense.

Only things VC does better than Jrich is

1) Create his own shot
2) Get to the foul line
