Re: How bad did LeBron damage his legacy?
He's still building it.. So his legacy isn't damaged.. But his climb to the top isn't going to get any easier with guys like Rose, Durant, Dwight breathing down his back.. Not to mention a potential 2nd super team..

He's 26 years old.
How many years did Lebron played?
Obviously when Jordan won his 1st ring, he was in his 6th season. Same as Lebron. With Leborn showing to lose to explosiveness, and he doesn't have the jumpshot like MJ. No way he can win multiple rings as a batman. Today Lebron showed that he's not a leader and not an alpha dog. Either one of wade/Lebron need to be traded.

Not really. Dirk actually had redeemed himself last season. Lebron's downfall is far far worse for two things. He didn't just choke, he was passive.
Add the hype on top of the Big 3 and the initial doubts to begin with on how he abandoned Cleveland because he gave up on his team and how that excuse was always because that team wasn't build for the championships...Lebron's legacy cannot be summed up by the word failure. He has to be worse. This guy was considered to at least dominate the game even if he couldn't win a ring with this lineup. Add to that, he talked big about how he will win multiple championships if they do the right thing and he was the one who didn't do the right thing edging past even his fellow teammates who are non-stars in terms of being a non-impact when the pressure was it's highest.

No coach. No GM. Probably no star. I swear, in my 23 years of following this team, I can't name a stranger time than this moment to be a supporter of the Magic.

Not showing up in the Finals this year hurt it, not the decision nonsense though.

Re: How bad did LeBron damage his legacy?
These finals hurt his legacy bad. He leaves Cleveland, goes to Miami to be the sidekick to Wade and simply did not do enough to help his team. A guy before they practice goes up there and talks about multiple titles and then plays like that. His offensive game is flawed. He's comfortable being more of a point guard rather than an attacker. He's not the greatest player of all time and it's not close IMO.

They lost in 6 games in the Finals in their first year together, and you're already calling it a failed experiment that needs to be blown up? Pardon my bluntness here, but holy ****! You can't be serious?

yeah, but Kobe never have as bad of a performance like Lebron. Beside Miami is the clearcut favorite to win it. This is no contest, Kobe faced an one of ALL-TIME best defensive team in the Final 04 and Celtics '08.
Actually, the heat overachieved my expectation. Being the 1st year with a new team, I thought they wouldn't make it to the finals (Granted, kobe only got gasol for half a season and made it to the finals). But still if he doesn't win next year bearing any injury it will be a huge blemish on his career until he wins with a less talented team.

Badly.
He choked for years with Cleveland, and has now choked away with the teammates of his choosing. He is just a loser, plain and simple.

As he walked off the floor, I wonder was he thinking "we all ready lost, we all ready lost!"
They could do this 5, 6, 7 more times!

you think that was a fighting effort from lebron? At best he went through the motions. He was afraid to drive, afraid to shoot, and stood in the corner and watched.

LeBron **** up his legacy pretty bad.
I wouldn't trade him for scraps because he's still a great player but I'd trade him for Dwight Howard or for a more balanced team right now. He's no longer untradable.

If he does manage to win some championships, this series will be a small memory.

comparing Lebron's cast which have another top 5 players in the NBA Wade to Kobe? You got to be kidding.
Beside Kobe's loss in '08 to the ALL-Time defensive team in Celtics. Celtics '08 >> Mavs '11, period.
So no shame for Kobe to lose that series when most experts predict the Lakers to lose anyway. Lebron simply fail at the highest level when experts and everyone bank on them to win easily. C'com, no comparable. Lebron's legacy will always be regarded as a choker in big pressure series.

Re: How bad did LeBron damage his legacy?
For the series, Heat were outscored by 36 with LeBron on the floor. But they outscored Dallas by 22 with him on the bench.
