these 3 teams are the most realistic trade partners for Nash.
What do the Blazers have besides Batum, Wes Matthews i guess.. and a pick.
Felton is playing awful and Nolan Smith is too much of a gamble for him to be a starter or something. Not worth Nash.
Nash for Batum and a pick would be great value. Batum's numbers have blown up since he was put in the starting spot.

Jameer,Reddick , Anderson and picks for Nash and Chilly
manages to make us both -1 win ------
I think you guys might be just as screwed as we are
I'd be willing to do that. thanks for replying. also, thanks to the other guy that replied.

I'd consider
SUNS
IN: Hinrich (expiring) + future pick + filler
OUT: Nash (expiring)
..another
IN: Hinrich (expiring) + Marvin Williams + 2012 pick or future
OUT: Nash (expiring) + Frye
I know a lot of people here are down on Marvin, but the 2012 pick is the main piece of this trade...
and getting away from Frye's 3 more years.... sure we take on Marvin's.... but he slots at the SF, when Grant Hill retires.
Marvin is a better player than Childress and they get paid similarly.... Morris also slots in where Frye is..... develop him faster. Morris can do what Frye does but develops to a much better player.
C: Gortat
PF: Morris
SF M.Williams

Why would anybody trade FOR Lopez knowing he's a free agent they could have for a few bucks in a couple months?

I know. That's why I said "
my personal ideal scenario" as in if we lived in an ideal world and I was running things that's what would happen...but we know that won't happen.

Why are people still posting Nash trades? There is no indication that we are even shopping him anymore and both sides have said he is staying. Love it or hate it, Nash is staying by all accounts. Personally, its awesome to see Nash and come out and say he wants to stay and play hard for his teammates.
If our roster is staying relatively the same for the rest of the season, we need to address our backup PG situation. As another poster noted elsewhere, our starting unit is among the best in the league offensively, but it just completely nosedives when our second unit comes in. We all see it when Nash leaves we have a lead and when he comes back in, its usually to a double-digit deficit.
Ramon Sessions has been dangled for quite a while now and is a much better option than Aaron Brooks, whenever his team in China finishes and comes back anyways. It sucks giving up Dragic and a pick for him, but its just a mistake that we should move on from. Redd is coming around, Morris is improving, Lopez is Lopez

, but backup PG has just been terrible all year.

Biscotti wrote:It would seem the Suns are keeping Nash. Serious changes are needed. Our Athleticism is in my opinion one of our biggest problems. The lack of up and coming youth I think is another. I have been thinking of potential moves we could make to make us competitive....It's pretty tough. We have few assets, and moving forward, I can't see anyone wanting to sign with us due to that painful fact. Here are a few ideas.
Trade idea number 1
Suns/Bucks/Hawks
Suns trade Childress, get Marvin. Bucks trade Jackson, get Childress. Hawks trade Marvin, get Jackson.
Why for the Bucks? Jackson isn't a fit, they aren't playing him much. Childress is more of a team player, is younger, and is the type of defensive player that doesn't take risks on offense that Skiles likes.
Why for the Hawks? I feel they need another scorer on the wing, and Jackson provides that. Marvin hasn't been a fit, Jackson has a shorter deal. I think it makes sense.
Hinrich/JJ/Jackson/Smith/Horford(when he comes back) would make a really tough opponent in the playoffs, and I feel would match up well against the Bulls or the Heat.
Why for the Suns? Williams is athletic, and can play both the 3 and the 4. He is only 25, and I feel given enough shots could put up 15 and 5 for us, while providing solid defense. His deal is a year shorter than Childress.
I really like these trades for all the teams involved. The only reason i see this trade not going down is because atlanta feels like they are taking too much salary this and next season.
If this happens we can just amnesty frye next off season and we will look so much better going foward
+ when brooks come back, he will significantly improve our bench scoring if we can roll this lineup by the end of the season our bench will look solid
nash/brooks
dudley/redd
hill/marvin
frye/morris
gortat/lopez
Thats a much better 2nd unit than the one we're putting out right now. We got shooters in brooks redd and morris that will give us good spacing. Not too mention our 3,4,5 are big enough i feel to outrebound other benches.

jr smith and kmart are back so im just wondering...
I'm trying to figure it out for you. He plays for Guandong, he averaged 21 points & 5 assists on 52% shooting and 42% 3-point shooting in 29 minutes per game. They are in the Quaterfinals which takes place 2/22, 2/24, 2/26 then possibly on to the Semis and the FInals which could take him well into March if his team plays well.
thanks for the info dude. So he's winning huh? i guess thats a good and bad thing for us. Good to know he still has the 3 stroke cause we need all the outside shooting we can get. Hopefully his team gets taken out so we can get him back earlier. Telfair is killing us all!

If Dwight agrees to an extension with PHX, then I can see the Suns FO being ok with a Nash, Gortat for Howard trade.

As a fan I would agree. Keep in mind Sarver will still have to pay the 6-7 million for Chilly's contract. If I'm that business owner, I would try a trade first.

For the last time, Sarver is not going to give Chilldress $21 million to walk away. He will not be amnestied this summer, unless we are guaranteed to get both DWill and Howard. So basically, it won't happen. Maybe the following year, but even then it will be doubtful, because by then, we'll have a new coach, who can figure out how to get the most out of Chilldress.

I can think of a few teams that have pretty terrible contracts as well that would be willing to swap out their bad contract. It's my opinion Marvin has the highest upside of those teams. I think you have to admit that Williams at this point would be a better option than Childress, if only for how our team is currently constructed.
Corey Brewer, and Rudy Fernadez went for a 2nd round pick. I feel Frye still has more market value than that (he has had a rough year).
I feel Lopez and Randolph have equal value. It's worth a shot.

Agreed. I meant 6-7 million per year. Which is why I am a proponent of trading him.

Have to agree again. Marvin had a very high upside coming into the league (Harrison Barnes type of game), but has been stuck on a team with JJ as the first option, JSmith as another option, and Horford as well. He has good defense as of late, and is one of those players that i believe could really improve his game by getting him on the right team.
