Well, 5th pick. Arguebly the worst place to be in the 1st round.
Gimme a few minutes. I'll make my pick soon.

I have to agree. I think this year the first 4 picks are a given, but after that its a bit of a clusterf**k. There's definitely some great players to choose from, but there was soooooo much movement this offseason, its hard to project how those players will be affected.

Re: The 2012 Premier League Fantasy Draft Thread (DRK)
Well this is a hard pick.
A pick I really didnt want to make.
A pick that was one email away from being close to traded a few hours ago.
But here I am.
With the 5th Pick in the Premier League Draft, "Gangnam Style" selects
Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder!

Analysis
What can I say? Well firstly it was a very difficult decision. After the first 4 picks, the talent field kinda levels out, so I had a bunch of players to choose from. In the end, it boiled down to Russell and two other players.
I could ignore his steal numbers, not to mention his explosive scoring and rebounding numbers as a PG. His assists, after being 8+ for two seasons straight, dropped to 5.6, but I hope they will pick up as well. One great thing about Westbrook last season is that his 3PM tripled from the season before, a factor I couldn't ignore.
With all those factors, and his youth, after weighing out the options, Russell seemed the guy to go for at #5.

Okay guys. I'm strongly looking to move my pick #20. Choosing Westbrook at #5 had to change my entire strategy, but I think it was the right pick.

I got the 7th pick.
Wanna trade your 1st and 2nd pick for my 1st and 2nd pick?

I take CP3 over Love easily.
He puts up monster all-around stats, and was the main reason I managed to finish 3rd in last year's premier league despite having drafted several disapointments.

I'll take 25/12/2/1/1 with 3's and solid percentages over 18/10/5 and whatever else CP3 gets. Point guard is one of the deepest positions in the league right now and there's a plethora of young guys that are going to up the ante there this year. PF is deep but there isn't as much fantasy quality there after the top tier.
Also, Love is also C eligible which is a big advantage roster-wise.
Plus, the young Clipps like Blake and Jordan will get better, where the Wolves will still suck.

Blake definitely, but DeAndre? Maybe not fantasy-wise

Love doesn't have "solid percentages", his FG% is bad for bigman (44FG%) while taking a lotta shots. Love is also a bad shot blocker for a bigman, while CP3 is either elite or good at everything needed from a PG (AST, STL, PTS, FG%, FT%, 3PT)
The center position is also deeper than it used to be, and there are now plenty of center eligible players that are legit fantasy options (Love, Al Jeff, Bynum, Marc Gasol, Dwight, Pau Gasol, Noah, Aldridge, Ibaka, Tyson Chandler, Horford, Griffin, Monroe, Cousins, Ryan Anderson, Bosh, KG, Gortat, Amare, David Lee, Boozer, Hibbert, Brook Lopez, Bargs, Mcgee, Nene...)

Re: 2012 Premier League Fantasy Draft Thread (coldbyfletch)
Recent trade and positions have been moved in the opening posts of this thread. Taken players have been added to teams on Yahoo! and the trade has also been put in there, although not sure if you plebs can see that, it may be an almighty Commish entitlement.
When do we want to "officially" start this draft? Personally, I think we have plenty of time and that once the 1st round is done, whenever that may be and without being stupid (like the 1st round taking a week or something along those lines), I say it should officially start when the 1st round is complete as obviously by then everyone knows that it has started having made at least one pick each.
What say you?

Well CBF hasn't made his pick yet (that's ok), so I'll be going to sleep. I'll make it a point to try and log on when I wake up.
