assuming we get Bud back, I think we may be in a position to sign someone who was originally looking for more than MLE but got stuck with it once the teams with cap space spend it all. while we have holes in the roster, we aren't taking on water and going down because of them.

This is an interesting thought. I like it, but I'd hope that would be our goal for backing up anywhere from the 2-5 position. Hopefully we are a team that is willing to spend a little bit this offseason and after making some moves, we add a guy like Dorrell or Kevin Martin on a team friendly deal. That would really kick us up a notch.
