If the Nets use their taxpayer mid-level exception -- and why wouldn't they? -- their total payroll + tax will be $176 million in '13-'14.

That it ridiculous and should be illegal.

I agree, what about the supposed repeater tax? Wont it just go up after next year even more?

I think its in full effect now. I just saw their mid level will be 3 million and cost them 15.

None of the guys on NBA tv were very high on taking Oladipo at #2 but they all did love him as a player. They all liked McLemore better for whatever reason. I'll take Rob's judgement over theirs any day of the week though.

Pretty confident we're looking at Tony Allen---Andre Igoudala here worst---best case. What I think we end up getting. Tony Allen with a jumpshot. Not bad. Not Wade, definitely not Jordan. Scared he might be Thabo Sefolosha, and just because he plays on a good team and starts, doesn't make him good.

Tony Allen with a jumpshot was only thing memphis had missed in surpassing spurs. They did not have enough spacing for their bigs to operate. So tony allen with a j is a pretty good commodity if dipo gets there.
