Ross has two red flags that are holding him back. When he's on the floor it looks like he has very low bbiq. Get's lost on D and doesn't move well off the ball on O. Then we have the confidence factor. The guy mumbles during his mini interview after winning the dunk competition, c'mon have at least some swag and show off a bit. Casey ruined his confidence by playing a D League'er in front of him who's not on the team anymore. Albeit Anderson was better than him but if he's not part of the future what was the point of playing him. He was making around 1 mill a year not like BC was going to heckle him about it. It was all on Casey. Let's see if the same blunders continue this season.

Ross does have the most potential to improve on this team.

Val can only go from average player to great player.

Ros can go from being a piece of **** to average. Big difference!

Who says stuff like this?

Kids will be kids.

Anyhow "KingTdot". You tell me what the difference between a guy like Gerald Green & Michael Jordan is. It's definitely not athleticism.

This is coming from the guy who recommended Ross to the former GM, Casey is not trying to cover his ass

I hope this kid proves most of the posters wrong on here because he has some really good tools, but Realgm is where people come to hate and sh*t on guys, even rookies which is ridiculous.

Thank you, one of the rare intelligent posts, Ross having the most upside does not mean he is a garaunteed all star/superstar it just means he has the most upside and seeing from peoples posts that no one understands the definition of upside. It just means he has the most potential. Vals potential is lower but he is more likely to achieve it, you guys need to get your heads checked

Well then you better give him some freakin minutes Casey. I like how he has all this praise for him but barely plays him. Put your money where your mouth is.

why is casey always talking ****. first year he came here, he starts calling bargs one of the best players he's coached, next year he diminishes his role and criticizes him. plus he sucks at coaching. next.

Ross does have a lot of perfect physical tools for a SG, but Jonas definitely has the higher ceiling

Dwyane Casey GTFO. This guy is delusional... standing up for his failed pick. Can't believe we picked Ross over Drummond... he should be banned from the league.

This could mean one thing... Ross will be our starting SG.
Ujiri probably has a deal done for Derozan.
Ujiri tried to trade Derozan already this summer!
I have a feeling Derozan will get traded in the coming days..

How is Ross a bust or a failed pick after one year?

WTF is wrong with y'all.

I don't necessarily agree with Casey that Ross has the most upside on the team, but I think he's 2nd behind Jonas. I also am intrigued by Dwight Buycks.

I don't know if I'm right or not, but this is how I interpret it:

Upside - advantageous/positive aspect(s)
Potential - possibility/capability of becoming. Having or showing the capacity to develop into something in the future.
(basic definitions of the words)

At their relative positions, Jonas has more upside as a C, while Ross as an SG has nothing special in terms of speed, agility, natural instincts, natural talent, b-ball IQ, mentality, strength, skill. His one advantageous aspect over other high prospect wings around his age is that he can jump high. If there are any others, let me know.

Jonas's potential is higher as he has a higher capacity to develop into a good player in the future.
