(ok, I'm done here. 8-) )

Unlikely bonuses can only count for up to 15% of a player's salary, so I'm not sure how this works out. But yeah, that would qualify as an unlikely bonus.

It hurts being a Bucks fan. It truly does. Four first round picks! The exchange they've received for the talent traded is absolutely beautiful. This is how you roll the dice with young talent and a premium upcoming draft...Oh lawd. Oh good lawd.

I can't wait to go cue the stream and watch Neal, Riddy, Butler, and Mayo log heavy minutes.
I swear if it weren't for an amazingly educated and witty diehard fan-base, I'd be rooting for the Magic. I laugh that I'm really more committed to the idea of an effectively managed Bucks team and this board than I am our dysfunctional ownership and the actual state of 'our' team.

GS is banking quite a ton on one of the most injured big men on this decade to be a contender, we'll see if it works.

I hope he stays healthy to be honest, I always really liked the guy. But I am glad we aren't the ones who gave him that contract.

and the warriors would be what without Bogut? Probably closer to the 2013 Milwaukee Bucks..I don't see the risk..Warriors need a healthy Bogut over the next few seasons to have any chance at title contention.

I completely agree AND my take on this is further evidence we lost the Bogut/Ellis trade bar none. Originally, it seemed as though Bogut wasn't going to ever get healthy so there was a time when it looked like we took that trade by default. And, then Ellis went on his patented 5-10 game streak that had us saying 'Wow, if Ellis could keep playing like this he'd be a great project at PG.' However, Bogut has been healthy as of late last year and if he remains healthy there is no question he actually could help the Warriors go deep in the playoffs. Ellis walked. Contrary to popular opinion in 'The House of Ellis', Ellis don't have it all. We've lost another trade under the watchful eye of John Hammond.

Go look at who would replace him if they didn't bank on him.

Don't get me wrong I think they need to take the risk because of the way their roster is currently built, but man is it a huge risk. They're putting a ton of eggs in a glass basket.

I'm assuming that Bogut deal is pretty incentive laden, otherwise he got a pretty big deal considering his injury history.

Kendall Marshall is getting cut? He didn't look good last year but I wouldn't mind taking a chance on him.

It's less of a risk for GS because they don't necessarily need Bogut that much during the regular season. As long as they have him near 100% in the postseason, they'll be fine because they have such a deep roster. If he tweaks the ankle they can afford to give him a week or two more off than most teams. Obviously still risky since Bogut could go down before or during the playoffs. But I like it for both sides.

I would still take Marshall. No space for him, though.

I was a huge supporter of Marshall during the draft, but I don't know what to think of him now.

I really should bet against GS this year. They seem to be the classic: "Get further than expected in Playoffs Due to Favorable 1st Round Opponent then have Overhyped Expectations Next Year Team"
