Rajon Rondo Tanking

Yeah they are a crap team. Like you said, "they aren't even doing it right", which should lead you to believe...they aren't tanking.

I'm not just defending the Celtics by the way. I'd defend most teams in the bottom 5 right now. I still can't believe there are posters out there that believe players and coaches tank. These guys play to win. They're just bad.

Players and coaches do tank all the time though. Jacque Vaughn and Brett Brown have been fairly obvious this year, drawing LOL plays in crunch time, blatantly sitting their hot players, and generally having fun but win-inefficient systems (this last thing is my opinion, the other two are blatant facts). Remember McHale instructing Madsen to keep shooting 3s in Minnestota?

I believe Nick Young when he says he isn't tanking cause he doesn't want to give up his spot in the league to some draft pick, I really do. But a guy like Rondo, who has nothing to prove in this league, is a clever dude who knows it's more benefitial to his team to lose this particular game. He knows his coach knows that, and he knows his FO knows that. Now I didn't see this game in particular, but there's no reason at all to think he'll put whatever competitive mentality BS someone wants to force feed us, before the long term benefit of his team, and therefore his career.
